Phoenix Ancient City Zhangjiajie Tourism

The last time our family went there was during the summer vacation, and there were a lot of people. If you go in early November, there should be fewer tourists (it’s not the peak period anyway)

If it is organized by the school, will many projects (including food, accommodation and transportation) be booked for you? Or is it your own responsibility?

In general, let’s talk about some of our experiences last time.

If you spend two weeks, you should be able to play more thoroughly. At that time, we visited Fenghuang Ancient City for 2.5 days (the various memorial halls inside the ancient city and the city walls outside the city), and Zhangjiajie for 2 days (National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain). )

In general, there may be less things to do in Phoenix than in Zhangjiajie. In Phoenix, you mainly visit various memorial halls and museums, and appreciate the folk scenery, while in Zhangjiajie, you travel through mountains and rivers to see the scenery. The scenery is relatively different. beautiful.

You can buy a combined ticket in Phoenix. You can see all the attractions with one ticket. Because many attractions are concentrated inside the ancient city, you can go around more if you have enough time. There are several memorial halls you can visit, and rafting on the Tuojiang River is also good. (These are all in the ancient city) It is recommended to go and see the Miao bonfire party (this is not in the city, you have to take a bus to the Miao Village) and the city wall outside the city (is it called the South Great Wall or something) If you don’t have enough physical strength, it is not recommended to go see it. I feel that the scenery is not very distinctive and it will be very tiring to walk again and again.

When traveling to Phoenix, the rent is more expensive and noisier if you live along the river, but you can see the night view on the other side. The night view of Phoenix is ??very beautiful, you must go and experience it. If it's not along the river, it will be much quieter, and of course you won't be able to see much of the night view. The overall accommodation level is not too high, but it is acceptable. If you want to book accommodation in the peak season, you should be able to check in directly in the off-season.

If you want to eat, you can try the snacks in the ancient city. If you like sweetness, the wooden hammer cake is pretty good, and the ginger candy is spicy. There are also tofu and rice noodles that are worth trying. However, if you really want to eat, I suggest you go to the streets of Fenghuang City instead of the ancient city. It is more expensive and not particularly delicious. The dishes cooked in some small restaurants are also super delicious! In short, the meat in Xiangxi is delicious (audience:...you foodie)

The streets of the ancient city have a strong commercial atmosphere, and there are many things for sale. Phoenix's horn combs are very good, I suggest you take a few back. There are also other handicrafts that you can buy according to your needs.

There are buses from Phoenix to Zhangjiajie. It doesn’t matter if you don’t take the train. The bus hardware is quite good~

In Zhangjiajie, the National Forest Park ticket can be used for 3 days with one ticket, so don’t It’s a waste, don’t throw away the ticket~ You can choose to go with the group or not (just follow other people’s tour guides). There are roughly 5 major tour routes in the forest park. Golden Whip Stream is close to the water, Huangshi Village We climb up to see the mountains along the way. We didn’t go to the other ones last time. If you want to go, I suggest you buy a map and study it. There are environmentally friendly vehicles, ropeways and so on when you come back, which is also more convenient. It is highly recommended to visit Huanglong Cave.

As for Tianmen Mountain, it has the longest cableway in the world. Anyway, after buying the ticket, we went up to the cableway, and we can overlook the scenery along the way. Go up to the top along the ropeway first. If you are not afraid of heights, it is highly recommended to try the glass plank road. There are also temples, Guigu Plank Road, etc. Anyway, if you have enough time, you can enjoy them slowly. The water vapor was very heavy when we went there, and it felt like the whole mountain was floating in the clouds and mist~ quite nice. After visiting several scenic spots online, you can sit back on the middle line to see Tianmen Cave. If you have the physical strength, you can also climb up to see Tianmen Cave up close. This is considered the core scenic spot.

If you want to live in Zhangjiajie City, it is more convenient. The accommodation quality is higher than that in Phoenix. If you want to eat, there are many restaurants on the street.

The things sold in Phoenix are similar to those in Zhangjiajie. Many things in Zhangjiajie are actually from Phoenix.

If students buy tickets, remember to bring your ID card and student ID card (this is very important, you can save a lot of money). You must book the train ticket back from Zhangjiajie in advance. There are many tour groups here, and there are many sleeper berths. Being booked by a tour group, it would be very troublesome to go back if you don't book tickets early. We only bought hard seats last time.

Anyway, I wish you a happy trip. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask me.
