Is the visa for foreigners coming to China open?

Foreigners' tourist visas to China are not open.

China has announced that it will reopen from June 5438+1October 8, 2023. Passengers can enter the country without isolation, and only need to get a negative PCR result within 48 hours before departure. The visa-free policy will be restarted on October 8, 2023/KLOC-0, 65438. This means that if you meet the requirements of the visa-free transit policy, you can come to China without applying for a new visa.

Although China has announced that the travel after June 5438 +20231October 8 will be exempted from inspection, the tourist visa is still suspended, and it is still not feasible to enter China. At present, there are three ways for foreigners to enter China. One is to hold a valid China residence permit for work, study, personal affairs or reunion; the other is to hold a diplomatic, service, courtesy or C visa; and the third is to hold a valid APEC business card.

General visa classification

1 and class c: international train attendants, crew members of international aircraft, crew members of international ships and their accompanying families, and automobile drivers engaged in international road transport.

2. Category D: Persons who enter the country for permanent residence.

3. Category F: personnel who come to China for exchange, visit, inspection and other activities.

4. Category G: Persons transiting through China.

5.J 1 Category: Permanent foreign correspondents in news organizations in China (staying for more than 180 days).

6.J2 category: foreign journalists coming to China for short-term coverage (the stay time shall not exceed 180 days).

7. Class L: inbound tourists.

8. Class M: Persons entering the country to engage in business and trade activities.
