The southern part of Taigu County belongs to Taiyue Mountain River, and the right side belongs to the edge of Taihang Mountain. From the top of three counties in the northeast to the top of four counties in the southwest, the total length is more than 50 kilometers, which is one of the main veins of Taiyue Mountain and the watershed of Fenhe River and Zhang Er River system. The eastern ridge is at the junction of Taigu and Yushe; The middle section is in Taigu; The western section is at the junction of Yushe, Taigu and Qixian. The ridge is northeast-southwest. It constitutes the whole mountain system of Taigu.

Famous scenic spot

Caojia Courtyard (Sanduotang): Located in Pingchuan, Jinzhong, Shanxi Province, Wangbei Village, 5 kilometers southwest of Taigu County, and 500 meters away from National Highway108. It is 98m long from north to south and110m wide from east to west. It was built in the middle of17th century and completed in the late of19th century, during which it collapsed for more than 200 years. The existing buildings are Ming and Qing dynasties, which are well preserved. 1995 10 was opened to the public as a cultural relic tourist attraction, and 1996 was announced as a key cultural relic protection unit in Shanxi province.

Kong Xiangxi House is located at Shangguan Lane 1 in Taigu Ancient Town, adjacent to the White Pagoda of Wubian Temple, facing south, and consists of horizontally arranged courtyards. There are six courtyards and two gardens (namely, main courtyard, kitchen courtyard, Mozhuang courtyard, stage courtyard, west courtyard, west garden, study courtyard and east garden). The existing buildings not only have the dignified and heavy characteristics of the northern buildings in China, but also have the exquisite and elegant style of the southern gardens, which is a masterpiece of the integration of the northern and southern buildings in the Qing Dynasty.
