I am currently studying in Italy and want to travel to Britain. How should I go through the formalities?

When you apply for a visa at the local British embassy or consulate, pay attention to bring all the materials (identification and purpose of going abroad, which can be found on the embassy website) and visa fees. Visa is easier to handle. I'll send it to you when you get the residence permit. It's no problem to go two weeks in advance.
