Highlights of the Lantern Festival: On September 15, a Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival with the theme of "Harmony between Heaven, Moon and Man" will be grandly opened in Fengmenglong Village, Huangdai Town. Feng Menglong Village, the venue of Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival, is one of the "Five One Projects" in Huangdai Town, and will be transformed into "Huangdai Village" on the new journey of rejuvenation. In recent years, Huangdai Town has deeply explored the value connotation of Feng Menglong's culture, made great efforts to turn Feng Menglong Village into a typical beautiful countryside with industry, culture and inheritance, and successively held a number of cultural activities such as Feng Menglong Cultural Tourism Festival and Clean Government Culture Forum.

Feng Menglong Lantern Festival is a sub-activity of Xiangcheng Cultural Tourism Festival, which is guided by Jiangsu Tourism Association, co-sponsored by Suzhou Xiangcheng Huangdai Town Committee, Huangdai Town People's Government and Xiangcheng District Cultural and Sports Tourism Bureau, and undertaken by Suzhou Feng Menglong Research Association, Feng Menglong Scenic Area Management Committee and Suzhou Xiangcheng Wenlv Development (Group) Co., Ltd.

In addition to activities such as the Menglong Lantern Festival Tour, the gathering of praises to send lanterns, the fun riddle tour, and the collection of gluttonous snacks, special theme activities such as the upstream of Menglong Water, the Menglong Cultural Tour, the Flower Sea Punch Tour, and "Meeting Feng Menglong in 30 seconds" will be held in combination with the special resources of Feng Menglong Scenic Area.

According to reports, the tour of Menglong Lantern Festival combines the traditional culture in the south of the Yangtze River, the culture of sealing Menglong, beautiful countryside, Mid-Autumn National Day and other elements. From Feng Menglong Avenue to Geng Feng Lotus Pond, the 18 lamp group, including pastoral, bumper harvest, Feng Menglong culture and cross-strait culture, is connected in series, which can not only appreciate the characteristic pastoral scenery, but also comprehend and perceive Feng Menglong culture.

In addition, Feng Menglong Literature and the Grand Canal Seminar and the opening ceremony of Mo Yan Bookstore will also be held on the opening day of the Lantern Festival. In view of this seminar, the organizing Committee also carried out essay-writing activities in the early stage. At present, more than 100 papers have been received from Jiangsu, Fujian, Hebei and other places. After selection, an award ceremony for the essay contest will be held on that day, and the winners will be invited to give keynote speeches.

Xiangcheng, Feng Menglong's hometown, is also the seat of the first town of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Feng Menglong's personal activities and literary works widely reflect the elements of the canal, the production and life of the people in the canal, and the social and economic development of the canal town.

Mo Yan Bookstore is the second national reading place after the establishment of Feng Menglong Academy, which contains all the books created and published by Mo Yan and the books he has read. It will become a national reading base integrating reading, salon holding and cultural education to meet the needs of villagers, tourists, experts and scholars.
