Famous scenic spots on the border between North Korea and South Korea
1, Imjin Pavilion
Imjin Pavilion is a security tourist attraction built by 1972 to pray for the reunification of the Korean Peninsula. It is located 7 kilometers south of the military demarcation line. Imjin Pavilion is divided into three floors: underground 1 and above ground, and consists of North Korea Memorial Hall, Unified Park and various monuments. Outside the Linjin Pavilion, tanks, planes and other 12 kinds of military equipment used in the June 25th War are also displayed.
Imjin Pavilion, a product of the Korean War, 1972 was built for the homeless, covering an area of 6,000 ping.
Wangbaitan, opposite Linjinge, is a place where people who leave their homes every Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival worship their hometown. Behind the altar is the Freedom Bridge.1After the armistice agreement was signed between the north and the south in 953, North Korea repatriated South Korean prisoners here.
The Jingyi Railway in front of Wangbaitan was damaged in the June 25th War. In order to restore the economic ties between the north and the south, the railway was repaired in 2000, and the repair work is still in progress.
Linjin Pavilion is the most frequent and active place for North-South exchanges, and the procedures for visiting are not as complicated as those of Panmunjom. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Gyeonggi Province.
2. Unified Observatory
The unified observatory is the intersection of the Han River originating in South Korea and the Imjin River originating in North Korea, where you can have a panoramic view of North Korea. The unified observatory is a five-story building with an altitude of 140m. The unified observatory displays photos that can explain the real situation of North Korea, and consists of a video room and a North Korean merchandise store. Standing in the circular room of the unified observatory at an altitude of 140m, you can see Songhe Mountain in Kaicheng in the north and Ruyi Island in the south.
This 70-meter-high unified observation platform with the North Korean flag is located at the intersection of the demilitarized zone and the southern limit line. On a sunny day, you can see the wonderful scenery of Mount Kumgang in the north. On the lookout, people first go to the White House Auditorium to watch the information piece, and then, regardless of the frequent sea breeze, they eagerly look at the opposite mountain peak and Song Dao, the "38th parallel" of the military confrontation between the north and the south. Calculated from the coastline at the foot of the unified viewing platform, it is only 4 kilometers away from Song Dao. From a commanding height, you can clearly see that in the blue bay, Song Dao, which is small but significant, lies peacefully. Although it is called an island, it actually looks like a reef connected to the coast. Like an old man, listen patiently to the beating of the waves; And the Nine Immortals Peak in the distance and five small islands on the sea (collectively known as King Kong on the Sea).
Through the high-powered telescope, people can see the command post of the North Korean military base. The highland used to be 356 meters. Because the two sides fought fiercely there during the Korean War, the highland was blown down by 5 meters.
Starting from 1994, the Korean government opened the Gaocheng Unified Observatory to the outside world in the form of a unified security tour. The number of tourists is increasing year by year, and now there are about 6.5438+0.5 million domestic and foreign tourists visiting here every year. For Koreans, this is a place where some people miss their motherland, their relatives and their long-standing desire for reunification. To this end, a huge white marble Maitreya Buddha statue has been built here, surrounded by the Forward Tower, the National Flying Tower and other landscapes. Standing on the unified observation deck, I turned around and looked at the hillside opposite Korea. In the dense green vegetation, the word "unification" arranged in Korean is extremely clear, which is particularly eye-catching under the sunlight.
3. The third invading tunnel
There is a famous tunnel in South Korea, which is called the Third Invasion Tunnel. In Seoul (now known as Seoul), almost all travel agency brochures suggest to China fans that each person should spend 50,000 won (about 350 yuan RMB) to visit the Third Tunnel.
The North Koreans said: This third tunnel is a strategy and tactics learned by the heroic North Korean people from China's film "Tunnel Warfare". The tunnel is dug from the north to the south of the 38th parallel. However, it may be that the militia who dug the tunnel was careless, or it may be that the traitor tipped them off. 1978, the tunnel was discovered. Now, the tunnel has been dressed up as a tourist attraction during the World Cup and named as the "Third Tunnel", which has become the main area for earning foreign exchange.
