Langya Mountain - Rangquan

"The Drunken Old Man's Pavilion" writes: "Six or seven miles along the mountain, gradually the sound of water gurgling and flowing out between the two peaks is called Rangquan. Ye." Let the spring be in front of the Drunkard Pavilion, and build a square pool with stones next to the spring. The water flows into the pool and then flows into the mountain stream. The pool is three feet square and about two feet deep. On the pool there is an inscription with the word "Rangquan" erected by Cikui, the governor of the state in the 40th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty. The temperature of the spring water does not change much throughout the year and remains at 17 or 18 degrees Celsius. The spring water is "as sweet as glutinous rice wine and as clear as glass", so it is also called "Glass Spring".

Langya Mountain-The Drunkard Pavilion

The Drunkard Pavilion is located at the foothills of Langya Mountain. It is one of the famous monuments in Anhui Province. It is a masterpiece written by the great essayist Ouyang Xiu of the Song Dynasty - "The Drunken Old Man". "Ting Ji" records this pavilion.

During the Qingli period of Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty, the government was corrupt and the powerful were in power. Ouyang Xiu, who was an official in the imperial court, advocated reforming current affairs, did not avoid slander and slander, and dared to expose the secrets of officials, thus offending the left prime minister Xia Song and others. Xia Song falsely accused him in front of the emperor. Renzong listened to Greedy's words and demoted Ouyang Xiu to Chuzhou.

In the fifth year of Qingli (AD 1045), Ouyang Xiu came to Chuzhou and met Monk Zhixian, the abbot of Langya Temple, and soon became close friends. In order to facilitate Ouyang Xiu's visit, Zhixian built a small pavilion at the foot of the mountain, and Ouyang Xiu personally wrote it. This is the famous "The Drunkard's Pavilion". From then on, Ouyang Xiu often went to the pavilion with his friends to have fun and drink. "The prefect and his guests came to drink here. He often got drunk after drinking a little and he was the oldest, so he called himself the Drunkard." Hence the name "Drunkard Pavilion". Ouyang Xiu not only drinks here, but also often works here. There is a poem praising him: "Because of his political career, he enjoys a prosperous life and always does official business in the pavilion." After the completion of the Drunkard Pavilion, it attracted many tourists. Dr. Shen Zun, a doctor from Taichang at that time, came here because of his fame. While watching the music, he composed the music "The Drunken Old Man's Yin" (also known as "Taishou Cao"), with Ouyang Xiuqin as the lyricist. A couplet in front of the Feng Gong Temple now refers to this incident: "The sound of the spring is like listening to the prefect Cao, and the sun is already shining on Langya Mountain." A few years later, Ouyang Xiu and Shen Zun met again. "It was half drunk at night", Shen Zuncao played the "Drunkard Old Man's Song" on the piano, "the sound of the palace was coming over and over", "like the gentle wind and warm sun, the sound of birds singing, and the sound of spring springs on the quiet mountains at night" Ming". The sound of the piano reminded Mr. Ou of his past memories of drinking in the pavilion, so he wrote a poem as a gift. When the Zuiweng Pavilion was first built, there was only one pavilion. In the late Northern Song Dynasty, the magistrate Tang Ke built the Tongzui Pavilion next to it. In the Ming Dynasty, it began to flourish. According to legend, the house had been built to "hundreds of columns" at that time, but unfortunately it was destroyed many times later. During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, the entire garden became a piece of rubble. It was not until the seventh year of Guangxu (AD 1881) that Xue Shiyu, the Quanjiao Observer, presided over the reconstruction, and the Zuiweng Pavilion was restored to its original appearance. The buildings around Zuiweng Pavilion have a compact and unique layout, small and unique pavilions, and have the characteristics of Jiangnan gardens. Although the total area is less than 1,000 square meters, there are nine different buildings and scenery. The Drunkard Pavilion, Baosongzhai, Fenggong Temple, Gumei Pavilion, Yingxiang Pavilion, Yizai Pavilion, Yi Pavilion and Lanyu Terrace have different styles and are known as the "Nine Scenic Spots of the Drunken Old Man". There is a spring in front of the Drunken Old Pavilion, and a small stream beside the spring. The water is gurgling all year round and is crystal clear. In the pavilion, there is an inscription of "The Drunkard's Pavilion" handwritten by Su Shi, a writer and calligrapher of the Song Dynasty, which is called "Owen Su Zi". There is a high platform at the highest point behind the pavilion, called "Xuan Emperor's Palace". When you stand on the platform and look around, you can see the green mountains in front of the pavilion, stretching across the horizon; behind the pavilion, the undulating forest waves fly to your ears, as if you are in a painting.

The Drunkard Pavilion is famous because of Ouyang Xiu and his "The Drunken Old Man Pavilion". Although it has been robbed many times over the centuries, it has never been forgotten. Someone once wrote a couplet: "Eight hundred years after the old man passed away, he is still drunk in his hometown. "Sixty-seven miles into the mountain, there are no lonely pavilions." After liberation, the People's Government listed Zuiweng Pavilion as a provincial key cultural relic protection unit and renovated it many times. Nowadays, this thousand-year-old scenic spot is even more spectacular and attractive.
