Why did Zhao Benshan say Tieling is a big city?
From the sketch "Yesterday Today Tomorrow", Zhao Benshan plays a farmer who has never left a mountain village in his life and does not understand the outside world, so he naively thinks Tieling is a big city.
"Yesterday Today Tomorrow" is a sketch directed by Zhang Huizhong, written by He Qingkui, and performed by Zhao Benshan, Song Dandan, and Cui Yongyuan. It was broadcast on the "1999 CCTV Spring Festival Gala" on February 15, 1999.
This sketch tells the story of two elderly people, Heitu and Baiyun, who participated in the CCTV program "Tell the Truth" and recalled the earth-shaking changes that have occurred in their lives over the past few decades.
