Yuexiu Park is the largest comprehensive park in Guangzhou. The main body of Yuexiu Park, Yuexiu Mountain, is named after the "Chaohan Terrace" built on the mountain by Zhao Tuo, King of Nanyue during the Western Han Dynasty.

In the park there are the ancient Chu Ting and Foshan archways, ancient city walls, Sifang Fort, Sun Yat-sen Monument, Sun Yat-sen's stele for studying and managing affairs, Wu Tingfang's tomb, Ming Shaowu Junchen Tomb, Sailor's Pavilion, Wuyang Stone Statue, Attractions such as the Wuyang Legend Sculpture Group and the Spherical Water Tower.

The area where the park is located has been one of the eight scenic spots in Yangcheng since the Yuan Dynasty; in 2006, the park was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.
