About furong town.

Furong town, formerly known as Wangcun, is a small town with a history of more than two thousand years. Located at the southern end of Yongshun County, Xiangxi Tujia Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. The town is 927 meters above sea level, with a population of more than 20,000 people and an area of 168 square kilometers. Because there is a waterfall running through it, there is a thousand-year-old town called "Hanging Waterfall". Liye Town in Longshan, Pupu Town in Luxi and Chadian Town in Huadian, which are also known as the four famous towns in Hunan, were awarded 4A-level scenic spots by the state, and later became famous here because of the Liu Xiaoqing film furong town.

Furong town, an ancient town with a history of thousands of years, is also a tourist attraction integrating natural landscape and ethnic customs. It is also the gateway to Mengdonghe Scenic Area, and an excellent spot for seclusion and antique. Furong town is surrounded by green hills and clear water. The town is covered with quaint and deep alleys, and the Tujia diaojiao buildings on both sides of Wulichang Street are full of quaint ethnic customs, which makes the tourists here full of praise.

Xizhou copper column

In the existing folk museum in furong town, the copper column weighs more than 5,000 kilograms and is two feet high. There are six hearts underground, eight sides and hollow inside. The bronze column was built in 940 BC, which witnessed the alliance between Ma Xifan, the king of Chu, and Shi Peng, the governor of the Western Zhou Dynasty, after years of war. Although the copper column has been washed by thousands of years of wind and rain and eroded by frost and snow, it is still as clear as ever. It is an important document to study the ancient history of Tujia people and is regarded as a sacred object by Tujia people.

Wushiban steet

On both sides of the street are Panmunjom and Tujia Diaojiao Building, and a stone road leads directly to the ferry pier on the shore of Youshui. Looking to the left from the dock, you can see furong town Waterfall and Feishui Village on the edge of the cliff. Wushiban Street witnessed the historical changes of furong town and the process of furong town's rise from obscurity to fame overseas.

What impressed furong town most was the waterfall passing through the city, which is also a must-see spot for every visitor to furong town. Furong town Waterfall is the largest and most spectacular waterfall in Xiangxi, with a height of 60 meters and a width of 40 meters. Water flows down from both sides of the cliff, and the impact of water can be heard ten miles away, hence the name "Millennium Hanging Waterfall Ancient Town".
