Introduction of Huangshan tourist attractions
Things in Huangshan Scenic Area are more expensive, and there are no big supermarkets or places to buy souvenirs. However, an old street in downtown Huangshan, which is called Tunxi Old Street by local people, is still worth staying and feeling carefully. In particular, tourists who are unwell and not suitable for mountain climbing come to Tunxi to feel the cultural charm of ancient Huizhou; Look at the quaint Huizhou architecture, taste Huizhou cuisine, understand the profoundness of Huizhou culture and so on.
Tunxi Old Street originated in Song Dynasty and became the material distribution center of Huizhou in Qing Dynasty. The old street ranges from the "Bajiazhan" in the west to the memorial tablet of the old street in the east, with a total length of 1,273 meters and a width of about 7 meters. The road surface is paved with stones. Most of the buildings on both sides of the street are similar in style to those in Lin 'an in the Southern Song Dynasty. Of course, these buildings also reflect the characteristics of Huizhou architecture. Shops that don't face the street use the way of opening patios, which is also the meaning of "gathering wealth" in traditional geomantic omen.
There are many famous old shops in this street, such as Deren Drugstore (about 15 years old), Wancui Building (similar to Huiyan Exhibition Hall), Tunxi Museum, Cheng's Miyake, Hu Kaiwen Mochang, Cheng Dawei's former residence and many other scenic spots. A visit to the old street will definitely make you feel trip worthwhile.
2, Huizhou cuisine
In addition, you can also eat Huizhou's unique cuisine here and taste the original flavor of Huizhou cuisine. The famous one is the first floor of the old street, where Huizhou dishes such as Huizhou hairy tofu, Huizhou stone chicken, stinky mandarin fish and dried tofu are very authentic. Eating Huizhou cuisine at lunch, tasting Huangshan Mao Feng or a local beer will definitely make tourists feel happy all afternoon. As for the well-known Huangshan sesame seed cake, of course, it is also the most authentic one bought in the old street. The crispy cake bag is wrapped in dried prunes and a few pieces of fat, which is fragrant but not greasy, and it is absolutely memorable to eat. This kind of sesame seed cake is not expensive, and many people who come here often have to weigh a dozen kilograms and take it back in big bags and small bags to share with others.
3. Huangshan Scenic Area
I will probably stay in the downtown area of Huangshan for one or two days, and then I can leave for Huangshan Scenic Area after having a good rest and eating enough. The scenic area is relatively large, so if you just want to travel for a day or two, there is no way to see many scenic spots one by one. Generally, the tourist bus will stop at the south gate of the scenic spot. You can choose your residence (Tangkou Town and Hot Spring Scenic Spot) to put your luggage here and prepare some dry food before you leave for the scenic spot.
