Is it cold when I go to Xiamen during New Year’s Day? Need to turn on the air conditioner?

The temperature in Xiamen during New Year’s Day remains around 17 degrees. The temperature difference between morning and evening is not big, so it’s not too cold. Just bring a thicker coat (not too thick, otherwise it will be very hot). Generally, you don't need to turn on the air conditioner. Occasionally there may be strong winds, but you may need to turn it on. Hotels have air conditioners~~~

For accommodation, it makes more sense for you to stay in a family hotel when visiting Xiamen , because every hotel will be decorated with unique features, and generally the bosses are very nice. In the past, they would treat them like friends. The more distinctive family hotels in Xiamen are Zengcuoan and Gulangyu. Rooms in Gulangyu Island are horribly expensive. If you have more money, you can get it. Zengcuo'an is close to the sea and is relatively good on the road around the island. When I go there, I usually stay in Zengcuo'an. Two people can stay in a cozy double room for couples. I like many of the bosses. Ripe. But I don’t stay at the same hotel every time. I think the better ones are Yuelanwan Inn, Yueyuewan Inn, Zutianya Inn, and Storm Inn. The owner is very good, and the key is that the price/performance ratio is relatively high. You can also search online to find some hotels with good reviews and book a room in advance, otherwise housing in Xiamen will be very tight on New Year’s Day.

Zengcuo'an is right on the seaside, separated by a ring road, especially Yuelan Bay Inn and Tianya Inn. It only takes 1 minute to walk to the beach, and they are both near the bus station, very close. , located on the inner island of Xiamen, the transportation is very convenient. It takes about 10 minutes by bus to Xiamen University, about 20 minutes to Gulangyu Island and Zhongshan Road, and less than 20 minutes to the airport and train station.
