The fourth grenade exploded on the pavement next to the five-star Dusit Thani Hotel, and the fifth exploded near Bangkok Bank. When the explosion occurred, hundreds of pro-government demonstrators were marching to demand that the Red Shirt Army stop demonstrations in Bangkok. Thai military spokesman San Sen said all explosions were caused by M79 grenade launchers.
