-----------. It is mainly produced in Yongfu County and Lingui County near Guilin. It is not only a valuable medicinal material, but also a high-grade refreshing drink and seasoning. Siraitia grosvenorii is rich in natural glucose and fructose, which is 3 times sweeter than sugar. Using it to make tea is sweet and mellow, and has the functions of clearing away heat, moistening lung, relieving cough, resolving phlegm, benefiting liver, invigorating spleen, promoting fluid production and refreshing. The origin of Siraitia grosvenorii is legendary. According to legend, a Yao farmer in Yongfu County was stung by a wild bee on the back of his left hand when he went up the mountain to collect firewood. It was swollen and painful, so he picked a wild fruit from a vine beside him and scraped it. As a result, the swelling and pain stopped. He felt strange, so he smelled it with his nose. The wild fruit had a fragrance and tasted it with his mouth. It was as sweet as honey. The story was known by a village doctor named Luohan. He asked the Yao farmer to take him up the mountain to pick fruit, and repeatedly studied this kind of wild fruit to treat cough and other diseases, with good results. Later, in order to commemorate the Yao doctor, people called this wild fruit Siraitia grosvenorii and cultivated it, which has a history of nearly 3 years.

-----------. According to legend, in the 32nd year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1767), Xia Jigang, a petty official in Shatian Township of Rong County, resigned from his post and returned home from Zhejiang, bringing back two seedlings of Zhejiang fine pomelo for planting. As a result, after long-term careful cultivation, it finally became a famous fruit at home and abroad, and now it has been widely introduced by people all over the country, and Guilin has become the main producing area of Shatian pomelo. Shatian pomelo is a subtropical fruit with tender meat, sweet fragrance and rich nutrition. Its vitamin C is more than 2 times that of apples. Pomelo fruit is pear-shaped or heart-shaped, and it is bright yellow after maturity, generally weighing 2 kg each. Its biggest feature is that the pedicle is like a neck, and there is a money-shaped ring at the bottom, which is called money circle. Be sure to pay attention to this when shopping. Pomelo meat generally has 12 pulp petals, which are shaped like eyebrows and moons, and are uniform in thickness. Its results are very strange, growing on slender branches, and often two or three huge fruits are hung on a slender branch, giving people a sense of "close call", calling this scene "money hanging hibiscus".

When visitors come to Beihai, don't forget to eat and buy worms. When processing worms, cut off the intestines in their abdomen, otherwise it will be difficult to enter. If worms are dried, cut them into small strips first, fry them in a pan, and keep turning them when frying. If they are found to be cooked enough, take them out and soak them in clear water for a while, which will not only remove the sand, but also fry the fragrance of worms themselves. Remember, only fried worms will taste like worms.

The distinctive feature of Lipu taro is that its meat has purple betel nut pattern, delicate meat quality, sweet and soft flavor after cooking, and people call it betel nut taro.

According to legend, more than 2 years ago, a Fujian native named Huang brought taro seeds from Fujian, and successfully introduced them to a piece of land at the foot of Guandi Temple outside Lipu, and cultivated Lipu taro. In ancient times, this kind of taro was dedicated to the emperor as a tribute, which was difficult for ordinary people to eat. -----------. In ancient times, the quality of wine was often evaluated by shaking the wine in the bottle, depending on the number of flowers in the wine and the lasting situation. The more hops, the longer they last, which is the top grade. The best wine can pile up three layers of flowers. Guilin Sanhua Wine dares to be named after "Sanhua", which shows how high the quality is. There is also an interesting fairy tale about the emergence of Guilin Sanhua wine. According to legend, there was a young man named Xiang Lang on the ancient Xiangshan slope. His parents died, and he was alone. He specially planted a osmanthus tree and kept him company day and night. One year, on the night of the Mid-Autumn Moon and the bright moon, the family was reunited, and the elephant lang was feeling lonely. A beautiful woman suddenly floated from the tree, calling herself the sweet-scented osmanthus fairy, and was willing to marry the honest and hardworking elephant lang. From then on, the young couple lived a happy life together. Sweet-scented osmanthus fairy picks sweet-scented osmanthus every year and scatters it between Xiangshan Mountain and the bank of Lijiang River, which villagers use to make wine. So this fragrant sanhua wine came out.
