Brief introduction of botanical garden

Shanghai Chen Shan Botanical Garden (hereinafter referred to as "Chen Shan") is located in Sheshan National Tourism Resort, Songjiang District, Shanghai. It is a comprehensive botanical garden integrating scientific research, popular science and sightseeing. It is jointly established by Shanghai Municipal People's Government, China Academy of Sciences and State Forestry and Grassland Administration (formerly State Forestry Administration). Chen Shan has been paying attention to the research work based on the collection of living plants, closely combining scientific research with the collection of living plants and the construction of special gardens, focusing on the study of plant groups and strengthening the collection and management of plant resources. At present, three national germplasm banks of Labiatae, Pteridophyta and Nelumbo have been established, and 250 families 1690 genera and 7 1 countries have collected 25 species of characteristic plants, including 7,758 original species and 6,867 varieties.
