Suzhou

Suzhou scenic spots include Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Canglang Pavilion, Zhouzhuang Town and Luzhi Ancient Town.

I. Humble Administrator's Garden

The Humble Administrator's Garden, located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, was built in the early years of Zheng De in the Ming Dynasty (65438+the beginning of the 6th century) and is a masterpiece of classical gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. It has a history of more than 500 years since 2022.

The humble administrator's garden has been divided and combined several times, either as a "private" homestead, or as a "golden house" or as a "palace", leaving many attractive relics and allusions. Humble Administrator's Garden, together with Beijing Summer Palace, chengde mountain resort and Suzhou Lingering Garden, is called the four famous gardens in China.

The Humble Administrator's Garden was listed as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in March of 196 1, and was listed as a national characteristic tourist spot by the State Planning Commission, the Tourism Bureau and the Ministry of Construction in March of 199 1. 1997 UNESCO approved its inclusion in the World Heritage List. In 2007, it was rated as the first batch of national AAAAA-level tourist attractions by the National Tourism Administration.

Liuyuan, formerly known as "East Garden" and "Hanbi Villa", is located at No.338 Liuyuan Road, gusu district, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is adjacent to Liuyuan Road in the south, Banbian Street in the north and Bus Passenger Transport Group Co., Ltd. in the east. It is embroidered in the west. It was built in the 21st year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1593), and was later abandoned, 1953.

Third, Canglang Pavilion

Canglang Pavilion, located in the south of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, is the oldest garden in Suzhou. Founded in the Northern Song Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty (104 1 ~ 1048), it was once the residence of the famous Han Shizhong in the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty (12nd century).

The gardening art of Canglang Pavilion is different from others. Without entering the garden gate, a pool of green water surrounds the garden. The park is dominated by rocks, facing an earthen mountain, on which Canglang Stone Pavilion is located. There is a pool under the mountain, and the mountains and rivers are connected by a winding corridor. Ming Dow Hall in the southeast of the rockery is the main building of the garden. In addition, there are 500 immortal temples, Kanshanlou, Cuilinglong Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion and Yubei Pavilion.

Fourth, Zhouzhuang Town

Zhouzhuang Town is located in the southeast of Suzhou, at the junction of Kunshan, Wujiang and Shanghai. It is a pre-selected site of world cultural heritage and the first batch of national 5A-level tourist attractions.

Zhouzhuang Town is surrounded by water. With the river in Cheng Zhen, the street is the city. The main attractions are Fuan Bridge, Shuangqiao and Shenting. There are 14 ancient stone bridges built in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties in the well-shaped river channel. There are more than 800 aborigines living along the pillow river, and more than 60% of the houses still retain the architectural features of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Luzhi Ancient Town belongs to Wuzhong District, Suzhou City, and is located in the east of Suzhou City, with a distance of 18km to the west and 58km to Shanghai to the east.

Luzhi Ancient Town is a water town in the south of the Yangtze River with a history of 2,500 years, with many water, bridges, lanes, ancient houses and celebrities. The main attractions are Baosheng Temple, Ye Shengtao Memorial Hall and Jiangnan Cultural Park.
