There are many delicious foods and snacks in Fenghuang ancient city in western Hunan. As a snack, shopping is the way to unlock the ancient city of Fenghuang, right?

? Food guide:

Local characteristics of Xiangxi: duck with blood paste, fish with Chinese sauerkraut, and old bacon smoked by local people themselves. The taste of braised duck in blood is not as special as expected, but braised duck, which varies from person to person. All the hotels in the scenic spot have these dishes, and the price is similar.

Recommended stores:

? Private cuisine?

Recommended: stir-fried beef, bandit chicken, blood duck, beggar chicken, mountain bamboo shoots and bacon, small fish and shrimp, etc. Don't worry, these dishes won't step on thunder!

You can ask the proprietress to arrange the private room to prepare the dining tables in advance, so as to avoid the trouble of queuing.

? Master Huang barbecue?

Recommended: butter, fried chicken with garlic, crispy bones, pork belly, corn, yellow throat, beef tendon, eggplant, ribs, grilled fish and black chicken legs.

? Shilixiang rice noodle shop?

Treasure rice noodle shop, Suofen is here.

? Full of shrimp cakes

The streets of Fenghuang Ancient City are full of shrimp cakes. Although the price of 10 yuan belongs to the ceiling of the shrimp cake industry in Fenghuang Ancient City, the shrimp cakes are fresh, so I still like this one.

Recommended: Shrimp cakes and shrimps are alive and kicking, looking fresh. After frying, you can brush it with hot sauce and bite it down, which is fragrant and crisp.

? Camus juewei duck neck

Recommended: Stone mill acacia strips, friends who like glutinous rice strips can try it. Fried glutinous rice strips are wrapped in various grain powders ground in a stone mill. It is more porcelain after squashing, not too sweet and soft, similar to the "snowballing" eaten in Beijing.

3000 inside and outside the ancient city of Fenghuang? B&B is really impossible to book, but in fact, if you think about the following two questions, you can basically screen out the accommodation that suits you.

The ancient city is divided into central area and non-central area.

The central area refers to the main tourist areas on both sides of the Tuojiang River from Phoenix Bridge (that is, South China Bridge)-Snow Bridge-Tiaoyan-Hongqiao, where clothes are rented to take pictures, bars, windmills and city walls are all here.

The non-central area is closer to the residential area and it is cheaper to eat and live, but it is certainly not as convenient as living in the city.

So the accommodation is basically divided into three parts:

Close to the banks of the Tuojiang River, you can enjoy the night view of the river anytime and anywhere. It's convenient to travel, expensive and a little noisy. For example, there are lotus flowers strolling across the plain, and Lan Ting is waiting for a homestay on the shore.

It is also in the central area of the ancient city, but it is not near the river, so it is convenient to visit and relatively quiet, such as Tsinghua Courtyard and Xiong Mansion.

Outside the central area of the ancient city, the price is cheap. Need to confirm whether to pick up and drop off the ancient city and how far it is, such as waiting for you to come to Qingcheng.

? Personal suggestion: it is best to live in the central area without river view. You can see the river view when you go out. It's not expensive, and you don't have to endure mosquitoes and humidity.

Travel tips:

If the accommodation requirements are not high, you can also book in the ancient city. The special room of the day has a feeling that you can live with money.

The ancient city is 1.8km long, and it takes about 30 minutes to walk quickly. Climbing up and down is really tiring. Try to choose the nearest hotel within your own activities.

At 23: 30, the ancient city was silent. Remember to count the time before going to the bar.

Remember to bargain hard when shopping in the ancient city. 50% off is for sure!
