1. Fanyin Valley Ancient Road

The ancient road is 9 kilometers long and can climb the highest peak, Zhu Rongfeng. From Fanyin Valley to Yehou Academy, the ancient road passes through the valley and falls, surrounded by streams and green trees, with beautiful scenery.

2. Xu Xiake Ancient Road

This ancient road is more than 50 kilometers long. This was chosen by Xu Xiake, an ancient hiker, when traveling in Nanyue. It really takes a lot of physical strength to climb mountains and mountains. But it is also the most changeable scenery. It can be said that you saw the scenery of Nanyue all the way. How to get to Hengshan?

The most convenient way is to take the high-speed train. Take Changsha and turn to Hengshan in 20 minutes. Some people mistakenly think that Hengyang is closer to Hengshan than Changsha, but it is not.

Out of high-speed railway station, there is a bus at the gate, and you can go to Nanyue Bus Station for 5 yuan.

There are two ways to get to the Banshan Pavilion at the foot of the mountain, by car and on foot.

It's simple. There are many routes. You can climb from Hongqi Power Station, from a cement road on Shanmuqiao Street (leading to the scenic spot) and from Guangji Temple. These routes can avoid the ticket office.

7. Hengyang hiking route

A day or two is enough. There are only two scenic spots in Hengyang: Shigu Academy, the peak of Yan Hui in the city and Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. In the urban area, you can go shopping on Zhongshan South Road in the evening, and Nanyue can go to Wanshou Square for supper. When hiking, please pay attention to the route and mileage after issuing the ticket. You should act according to your physical strength. From the back door of another big temple, walk right 100 meters, and you will find Wanshou Square, which has China Wanshou Dading, Thousand Buddha Hall and other attractions. If you don't have time to visit the temple, you can stay in a small hotel, 60-80 yuan/double room, hotel 100-400, get up early the next morning, 1:00, and walk to the top of the mountain to watch the sunrise around 5:00 (please pay attention to the weather in advance). You can also go up the mountain on the first afternoon, stay at Banshanting Hotel, and then go up the mountain in the early morning, or stay at the Dawn Hotel on the Peak (the only hotel on the top of the mountain) for 50 minutes. Mountaineering supplies: water, food and clothing to satisfy hunger. The temperature on the mountain is 6 degrees lower and foggy. It is generally not recommended to go to the sutra depository when going down the mountain. It is 4 kilometers away from the main road from Xiling Mountain, and the traffic is inconvenient. If you go straight up the mountain and then down the mountain, you can take the same free bus at the exit to the bus station and get off at the Hengshan archway in Nanyue.
