The history and culture of Lujiaping Town

Lujiaping Town has a long history and outstanding people. The old county seat of Mayang began in Taipingxi Village, our town. In 569 AD, the Chen Dynasty established Mayangxu in Taipingxi Village, our town, more than 1,400 years ago. In the past, many outstanding heroes and heroines emerged in Lujiaping Town. For example, the old Red Army General Huang Zhongcheng went to the world from Chaxi Village. Shen Congwen wrote the world-famous novel "The Long River" in Lujiaping Town.

Lujiaping Town has beautiful mountains and rivers, beautiful scenery, and many places of interest and historic sites. The "Green Mountains Are Everlasting" Scenic Area was one of the eight major scenic spots in the county during the Qing Dynasty. The Mayang Martyrs Garden, located at Zhu Tomb Bay in Lujiaping Village, Lujiaping Town, was officially opened on April 1, 2008. It is an important "patriotic education base" and "one of the red tourist destinations" in Mayang County.
