Self-introduction of the applied commentator 1
My name is XXX. I am currently studying in the French Department of XX University in Shanghai. I am now a full-time commentator at the Exhibition Center of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo in China. The following is my self-introduction: It has been a year since I came to the exhibition center. I used to be a volunteer at the exhibition center. In fact, I have always regarded myself as a volunteer. Volunteers have a sense of responsibility and mission; they do not ask for anything in return and make selfless contributions. After working, although some people may say, you get the same salary every month, no matter how much you do or how little you do. However, by introducing more to the audience every day and looking at their eyes looking forward to the Expo, I can understand that this is not a boring thing.
I am honored to be named the "Gold Medal Instructor" on the first anniversary of the opening of the exhibition center. Over the past year, we have received VIPs and leaders such as the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Minister of Culture of Mali and the Republic of Mali, as well as the military-level chief of Nanjing and the Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee. But the most impressive thing was when I explained it to a blind little girl. I put her hands on each exhibit and let her touch it. She was visiting attentively. When telling the story of Helen Keller, I clearly saw the persistence and light in her eyes? I think this is where the value of my work lies.
I also have some shortcomings at work, such as being too impetuous. During the explanation process, once the audience is too large or does not follow the order, it is easy to get excited, and sometimes it even affects the quality of the explanation. I am also reflecting on this and strive to be patient, careful and enthusiastic in my work. Only in this way can I better contribute to the Expo. My biggest wish now is to work hard and enter the park next year to serve the Expo and participate in the event, whether as a volunteer or as a staff member.
I believe that on the evening of October 31, 2010, after China announced to the world that we had hosted a successful, wonderful, and unforgettable World Expo, I can also proudly say: "In 2010, I was the successful, wonderful, and unforgettable World Expo." Part of it!"
