Which city does Golden Crown City refer to?
Jinguan City is now Chengdu. This name comes from the golden official system established by the developed brocade industry in ancient Chengdu, so Chengdu is also called Jincheng. This nickname also appeared in the poems of the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu, such as "Look at the red and wet place, flowers are more important than Jinguan City". Chengdu, referred to as Rongcheng and Jincheng for short, is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital, sub-provincial city, megacity, national central city and food capital under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province. It is located in the southwest of China, the west of Sichuan Basin and the hinterland of Chengdu Plain, with subtropical monsoon humid climate, with a total area of 14335 square kilometers. Chengdu has been known as "the land of abundance" since ancient times. It is one of the first national historical and cultural cities, the birthplace of ancient Shu civilization and the best tourist city in China.
