Some of the filming locations for the 1986 version of "Journey to the West" include: Beidaihe Beach, Huangguoshu Waterfall, Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan, Jiuzhaigou Valley, and Zhangjiajie in Hubei.

1. Beidaihe Beach: The birth of the stone monkey in the opening scene of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West" was taken from the Beidaihe Beach in Hebei Province. Beidaihe Beach is located in the west of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, far away from Beijing, Tianjin and other places. Only 2 to 3 hours drive. Beidaihe Beach is located 15 kilometers southwest of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. It starts from Daihekou in the west and ends at Yingjiao Stone in the east. It is about 10 kilometers long in the west and 1.5 kilometers wide in the north and south. It is a natural beach.

2. Huangguoshu Waterfall: In the first episode of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West", "The First Coming of the Monkey King", most of the exterior scenes of the Water Curtain Cave in Huaguo Mountain were filmed here.
