Part of the filming locations for the 86 edition of Journey to the West

Some of the filming locations for the 1986 version of "Journey to the West" include: Beidaihe Beach, Huangguoshu Waterfall, Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan, Jiuzhaigou Valley, and Zhangjiajie in Hubei.

1. Beidaihe Beach: The birth of the stone monkey in the opening scene of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West" was taken from the Beidaihe Beach in Hebei Province. Beidaihe Beach is located in the west of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, far away from Beijing, Tianjin and other places. Only 2 to 3 hours drive. Beidaihe Beach is located 15 kilometers southwest of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. It starts from Daihekou in the west and ends at Yingjiao Stone in the east. It is about 10 kilometers long in the west and 1.5 kilometers wide in the north and south. It is a natural beach.

2. Huangguoshu Waterfall: In the first episode of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West", "The First Coming of the Monkey King", most of the exterior scenes of the Water Curtain Cave in Huaguo Mountain were filmed here. Yang Jie's view of Huangguoshu Waterfall I also like it very much and praise it as the most beautiful waterfall in the world, so I have taken pictures here many times.

3. Sichuan Qingcheng Mountain: Sichuan Qingcheng Mountain is located in Dujiangyan City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is a famous Taoist mountain in China and a national 5A tourist attraction. The mountains here are steep and beautiful, and the environment is elegant. It is known as "Qingcheng is the quietest place in the world". The filming location of the ninth episode of "Eating Ginseng Fruit" in the 1986 version of "Journey to the West". The location of the monster cave in the twenty-third episode "Four Explorations of the Bottomless Pit".

4. Jiuzhaigou: Jiuzhaigou is a masterpiece of nature’s uncanny craftsmanship, with extraordinary peaks, deep and dense forests, and six unique beauties: “emerald sea, cascading waterfalls, colorful forests, snow peaks, blue ice, and hidden feelings”. It has the reputation of "fairy tale world", and because of the diverse water scenery, there is a saying that "you can't see the water after returning from Jiuzhaigou". 5. Zhangjiajie, Hubei: In Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, there is a large stone with the words "Sutra-Shading Stone" engraved on it. This is the filming location for the Sutra-Basing Stone in the 86 edition of "Journey to the West" , there is an inscription next to it, which reads "Journey to the West Filming Location". Many tourists take pictures here.
