Porcelain House introduced.

The predecessor of the porcelain house is a small French building, which was built in the late 1920s. It is a four-story building with brick and wood structure, European-style mansion-style building with Italian verandah, with eclectic architectural style and a building area of 4,200 square meters. After investigation, this building is the former residence of China's modern diplomat Huang Rongliang.

In September 2002, Zhang Lianzhi spent 30 million yuan to buy this century-old building, and decided to transform it into a porcelain building, so as to carry forward the porcelain culture of the Chinese nation and create a monument of porcelain culture.

At first, Zhang Lianzhi just wanted to put tiles on the eaves.

In 2005, when Zhang Lianzhi attended the Asia-Europe Finance Ministers' Meeting in Tianjin, he went to Huayun Museum for dinner and was stunned by a wall inlaid with ancient porcelain fragments. Inspired by this, Zhang Lianzhi thought that if all the houses were pasted with ancient porcelain, the effect might be even more amazing. So he took out the treasures of Tang Sancai, Song and Yuan official kilns and Ming and Qing dynasties that he had collected for many years and turned them into unique building materials.

On September 3, 2007, Porcelain House officially opened to the outside world, and immediately became a landmark building in Tianjin.

20 10 On September 23rd, The Huffington Post selected 15 unique museums in the world, including the Louvre in Paris, the Denver Art Museum and the Pompidou Art Center. Among them, Porcelain House became the only museum in China.
