The total distance around Sailimu Lake is about 90 kilometers. It is recommended to take the counterclockwise route, because you can take the long-distance bus from Urumqi to Sailimu Lake. The lake is on the right side of the road. If you go around the lake clockwise, you have to go more than 20 kilometers before you can actually start the route around the lake.
