How to get to Wutai Mountain?

Beijing? Wutai Mountain: 370 Highway, 4-5 hours. The toll is around 85 yuan.

The first road is the most traditional, from Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway to Shijiazhuang, from Shitai Expressway to Taiyuan, from Taijiu Expressway to Xinzhou, and from Xinzhou to Wutai Mountain. This road is almost all the way to expressway, but it is the longest route (about 800 kilometers) around a big bend, and it takes time and money.

The second road takes the exit from Gaobeidian of Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway, westbound along National Highway 108, and passes through Laiyuan, Fan Shi and Shahe to Wutai Mountain. This road is short and has the lowest cost, but because it is one of the main roads for transporting coal in Shanxi, the road condition is not very good, especially the section from Shahe to Wutai Mountain. The third road is from the north exit of Baoding, Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway, along the outer ring road to Shunping intersection, turn right out of the city, and go west through Shunping, Wang Du, Tangxian and Fuping to Wutai Mountain.
