How to make a scarecrow

How to make a scarecrow is as follows:

1. Build a framework. First, prepare a stick about 1.5 meters long, place it near the top of a 1.8 to 2.4 meter long stick, rake handle or any pole-shaped object in the garden, and align its center with the vertical pole. Then, use a screwdriver, screws, or hemp rope, hot melt glue, etc. to fix the shorter stick.

2. Put clothes on the scarecrow. Dress the scarecrow in an old plaid shirt and attach horizontal sticks to the scarecrow's torso to serve as its arms. Next, button up the shirt and tie the ends of the arms and the bottom of the shirt with twine or string.

3. Fill the inside of the shirt. Use your brain to find things to fill your scarecrow with. Straw, hay, leaves, grass clippings, wood chips, and rags are all good fillers.

4. Put work clothes on the scarecrow. Make a small hole in the bottom of the coveralls so that a vertical stick can pass through the coveralls. Then, dress the scarecrow in overalls and put the leather straps on its shoulders. Next, tie the cuffs tightly with hemp rope or thin thread. Finally, fill the scarecrow's legs with the same stuffing as you did with the shirt.

5. Put hands on the scarecrow. The straw on the cuffs of an old-fashioned scarecrow's shirt is partially exposed to make it look more like a real person. You can put old work gloves or garden gloves on the scarecrow's hands. Remember to stuff the gloves with padding to give them a fuller shape, then place the gloves on the ends of your shirt cuffs and secure them with wire or twine.

6. Put the feet on the scarecrow. Tuck the pant legs into the tops of old work boots or other shoes. Sew each part of the trouser legs with needle and thread. Of course, you can also use hot melt glue to glue them on.

The scarecrow is ready.
