What are the procedures for traveling abroad?

Passport and visa are required.

1. Passport processing

1. First-time passport application process: First-time passport application must be handled in person at the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau where the household registration is located, and for military personnel, at the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau where the troops or work units are stationed. Regarding whether going to school or work in other places can be handled in the nearest place where the school or work unit is located, you can consult the exit-entry management office of the local public security bureau for handling methods.

2. Preparation of passport application materials:

1) Two 2-inch recent bareheaded color photos, in which state officials do not wear standard clothes and children do not wear red scarves, and the background color shall be subject to the regulations of exit-entry administrations in various places;

2) Residents who have reached the age of 16 should bring their household registration book (Registration Form of Permanent Population should be submitted for collective accounts) and resident identity card (or temporary id card);

3) residents under the age of 16 should bring their household registration book (the Registration Form of Permanent Population is submitted for collective accounts), the original ID card of their guardians and the original materials that can prove the guardianship relationship (such as household registration book, birth certificate, etc.), and be accompanied by their guardians.

3. Submission of application materials:

Submit the completed application form with photos and the required materials to the acceptance window. After the staff has completed the review, they will receive the Receipt of Application for Going Abroad for Private Purposes, check the contents of the receipt and sign it.

4. Payment:

After submitting the application, the applicant must immediately pay the fee at the toll booth with the Application Receipt for Going Abroad for Private Purposes (the applicant must pay the fee on the day of acceptance). If the payment is not made within the time limit, the date of obtaining the certificate will be notified separately. If the fee is not paid within one month after the application, the application will be deemed to have been abandoned automatically, and the application materials will not be returned to me.
