2013 Mid-Autumn Festival 3-day Xi'an travel plan!
Day 1: Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Musical Fountain in the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Forest of Steles Museum, Ming City Wall, Bell Tower or Drum Tower, Muslim Street.
1. It is recommended to go to the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum first, because the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum is now free but not free (bring a valid ID to get the ticket). Tickets are only issued four times a day, so go early, otherwise, the queue to get tickets will be long. Take bus 521 or bus 8 (610) from Xiaoyan Pagoda and get off at Cuihua Road.
Let me tell you a secret, if there are too many people, you can pay 20 yuan to buy a ticket for the fourth exhibition hall (Hejia Village Treasures Exhibition), which is not open to the public for free. Note: buy at the ticket window, there are tickets Traffickers sell fake tickets at a high price of 100 yuan) and tickets can be entered at any time.
2. After visiting Shaanxi Expo, you can take the bus to the South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and enter the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.
3. After visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, go north from the Big Wild Goose Pagoda South Square to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Square to see the musical fountain (the musical fountain in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Square is the largest musical fountain in Asia).
4. Take Route 23 and Route 4 at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, under Wenchang Gate, and visit the Forest of Steles Museum.
5. After visiting the Forest of Steles Museum. You can see the city wall from Wenchang Gate. Follow the Ming City Wall to the west to the south gate and enter the Ming City Wall.
6. After getting off the city wall, take the bus or walk to the bell tower. Go down to the Bell Tower underground passage and buy a ticket to go up to the Bell Tower. After visiting the Bell Tower, go from the Bell Tower Square to the Drum Tower (it is recommended not to go up to the Drum Tower after going to the Bell Tower). After visiting the Drum Tower, you can go north from both sides of the Drum Tower and enter Hui Street. This is the place with the most complete range of Hui snacks in Xi’an.
The second and third days: Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huang, Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang, Huaqing Pool, and Huashan.
1. Take the Wulong Special Line, No. 40, You 7 or You 8 (610) at the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and get off at Xi'an Railway Station. Take No. 5 (306) at the East Square of Xi'an Railway Station (in front of the train station ticket gate) to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses.
Tip: The vehicles on You 5 (306) Road have a standard appearance. The door badge of the gray Yellow Sea Bus has the logo of "Xi'an Public Transport Corporation" printed on it, the top of the front windshield has the logo of "306 Worker Pioneer", and the words "Alleviating congestion and ensuring smooth flow" are printed on the upper side of the windshield. The bus drivers and passengers wear bus uniforms with a blue star on their right arm. Each vehicle will drive according to the prescribed route, and there will be a flight attendant on the vehicle who will announce the stop in Mandarin and mute according to the standard, and introduce the scenic spots along the way in English. For regular tours, you have to queue up to get on the bus when waiting for the bus, and buy tickets only when you get on the bus, especially since tickets are not sold in advance and round-trip tickets are not sold. There are many illegal buses on Route 5 (306) in the square, so be sure not to take them to avoid being fooled.
Now the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Museum is a pass (including Qin Shi Huang Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Heritage Park, Baixi Terracotta Warriors Pit Museum, and Stone Armor Museum). There is no charge for transportation in the museum, that is, tourists can take the transportation within the museum. No more charges).
2. After visiting the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, take Route 307, Route 914, Route 5 (306) at the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, and go under the Huaqing Pool. Browse Huaqing Pool.
The main attractions in Huaqing Pool are: Furong Garden, Tang Yutang Site, Imperial Concubine Pool, Liyuan, Tang Dynasty Water Well, Lishan Hot Spring, Beihai Shulin, Jiulong Lake, Wujian Hall, etc.
Note: Be careful of being ripped off when eating in Lintong. Check the menu prices before eating. It’s best to look for restaurants with smiley faces (now all restaurants in Lintong are divided into three types, all with logos).
3. After visiting Huaqing Pool, you can take a long-distance bus to Huashan at Lintong Bus Station. It usually takes less than three hours from Lintong to Huashan. Climb Huashan that night. I've arranged it this way, so you don't have to go through the wrong path.
Huashan Mountain is famous for its dangers. It is divided into five peaks, east, west, south, north, and the highest point is the south peak. Xifeng is said to be the place where agarwood split the mountain to save his mother. The climbing timetable and route for self-guided tour of Huashan Mountain: Foot of Huashan Mountain (drop off location) → (7 minutes) Yuquanyuan → (15 minutes) Huashan Archway → (5 minutes) Wulong Bridge (ticket office) → (30 minutes) Fish Stone → (20 minutes) Wuliguan → (15 minutes) Shimen → (25 minutes) Maonv Cave → (15 minutes) Cloud Gate → (10 minutes) Huixin Stone → (10 minutes) Thousand-foot Building → (15 minutes ) Baichi Gorge → (25 minutes) Otolith Rubbing → (5 minutes) Tianlai → (5 minutes) Yudao (Canglong Ridge) → (25 minutes) Jinsuoguan → (8 minutes) Wuyun Peak → (15 minutes) Yingyang Cave → (5 minutes) Chaoyang Peak (East Peak) → (35 minutes) Nantianmen → (25 minutes) Yangtianchi → (35 minutes) West Peak → (12 minutes) Middle Peak → (18 minutes) Canglong Ridge → ( 25 minutes) Hozen Chou → (5 minutes) North Peak → (2 minutes) Ropeway → (4 minutes) foot of the mountain.
You need to bring plaster, safflower oil and hunger-resistant food when going to Huashan Mountain. Remember to bring a pair of gloves (also sold at the foot of the mountain), travel shoes, and a set of clothes, preferably a three-piece suit. You must have a flashlight and two spare batteries. It is recommended to stay at Zhongfeng. Zhongfeng is less than half an hour away from Dongfeng (watching the sunrise). There are small hotels where you can stay for 30-50 yuan a night. Before going up the mountain, you must eat before going up the mountain. The food outside Yuquan Yuan is more expensive than inside. You'd better eat on the street opposite Yuquan Yuan before going up the mountain. Bring some meat or eggs such as ham sausage to stave off hunger. You should prepare at least enough food for 4 normal meals, because going up the mountain consumes a lot of energy and you will get hungry quickly.
4. Take the Xi'an Tour No. 1 bus (fare 22 yuan) in Huashan at 5 pm the next day and return to Xi'an.
