What is worth buying in Sri Lanka? Sri Lanka travel guide
Sri Lanka is a very beautiful place. It is an independent island country. Only those who travel frequently will know this place. Then I want to know more about this country. So this place is a very nice presence.
Itinerary reference After the exploration and planning of the seniors, Sri Lanka’s itinerary has basically formed a relatively inherent routine. Due to the war, the recovery of the northern region is not very good, so generally Sri Lanka The itinerary is arranged in the middle, south, and east, so it naturally forms a natural ring structure. As for whether to travel clockwise or counterclockwise, it is entirely up to the individual. Of course, I personally think that clockwise is more scientific. , because Lion Rock and Horton Plains, which require a lot of energy, are both in the central area. If you travel clockwise, you can leave these two places first when you have enough energy, and finally return to the southern beach, where you can do some Relax. Sri Lanka is a very beautiful place. It is an independent island country. Only those who travel frequently will know this place. Then I want to know more about this country. So this place is a very nice presence.
So in the end we arranged a standard clockwise itinerary, Colombo - Negombo - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Mirissa - Galle ——Colombo, because we only have 8 days, and excluding 2 days of round-trip flights, we actually only have a relatively complete 6 days in Lanka. Therefore, this trip is already planned very fully. If you have enough time, you can arrange about 10 days. If you have an itinerary, you can also consider going to Yala National Park and Tangalle in the south. In that case, it is basically a relatively complete itinerary.
The specific itinerary is as follows
DAY1: Shanghai - Hong Kong - Colombo - Negombo (In order to save costs, I chose Hong Kong to transfer. The disadvantage is that it is already late at night when we arrive in Colombo 2 Point. )
DAY2: Negombo - Elephant Orphanage - Lion Rock - Kandy
DAY3: Temple of the Tooth - Royal Botanic Gardens - Kandy City
DAY4: Kandy-Nuwara Eliya (take the famous Alpine Tea Garden Train), visit the tea farm in the afternoon

About visa Sri Lanka visa is currently an electronic visa. You only need to provide your passport and add the visa fee. Basically You can get your electronic visa in 1-3 working days. Remember to print it out and take it with you. The specific application address is: http://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa/. The webpage provides Chinese services, so there is no difficulty in applying.
About currency: Sri Lankan rupee is a small currency, so it is difficult to exchange it in advance in the country, and there are few local RMB exchange services, so you must remember to exchange it for US dollars before departure, and then you can exchange it in Colombo. About the sockets, the sockets in Lanka are quite special. They are not European standard or British standard. They are a kind of socket called South African standard, so you must remember to buy a good adapter in China in advance, a general universal adapter. The header may not contain this standard conversion interface. Generally speaking, hotels may provide them, but this time we basically stayed in B&Bs, so we purchased them in advance.
About accommodation and transportation About transportation buses: Lanka’s public transportation system is relatively complete. There are buses to and from major cities, and there are more frequent departures. , the price is also very cheap. But a more serious problem is that there is no air conditioning in the bus, and Lanka is almost always hot and humid, so it is quite painful to take a long-distance bus, especially in the middle part of the country where most of the mountains are mountainous. The high temperature and continuous curves make it very difficult. It is easy for people to get motion sickness, so if you are considering using the bus system for the entire journey, you should make full mental and physical preparations in advance.
Lanka train: Compared with buses, trains are relatively comfortable. Although there is no air conditioning, the air circulation in the carriage is good because it is always running. Of course, Lanka’s trains have become a must-have item for us tourists to experience the local culture. However, we need to remind everyone that if you arrange a train experience on weekends or Mondays, you need to be prepared to have no seats for the entire 3 hours and be squeezed into a meat pie. (We encountered such a situation and felt like crying without tears)
TUTU bus: Tutu bus is the most important short-distance transportation in Lanka. You can use tutu to travel between various scenic spots in the city. Solved, but remember to agree on the price with the driver before getting on the bus.
Chartered car: If you have a sufficient budget, chartering a car is also a good choice. At least it can make the whole trip easier and more comfortable. If you need to go to Horton Plains, chartered car is also essential. Generally We need to leave at 4 o'clock in the morning that day, so we need to reserve a chartered car in advance.
About accommodation. Accommodation in Lanka is not very expensive. Generally, B&Bs for 2 to 3 nights come with breakfast, and the rooms are relatively clean. However, when booking online, be sure to check what is in the room. It is not air-conditioned. If the room is not air-conditioned, it will basically be too hot to sleep.
