Local chronicles once recorded: "In ancient times, some natives saw Xia Guang's dreamy glow coming out of the clouds, full of purple and overflowing the sky, thinking it was auspicious, so they bowed down." Since ancient times, the fantastic and beautiful "Tianmen Spitting Fog" and "Tianmen Lingguang" have been regarded as auspicious symbols in the sky, and they are famous far and near. Tianmen Mountain, with a long history and profound cultural accumulation, has always been regarded as a sacred mountain and a sacred mountain by local people, and is also known as "the first sacred mountain in western Hunan" and "the soul of Wuling". The source of these reputations can be found in the legends handed down from generation to generation by local people. The two most widespread and influential legends in the local area and even in the whole of Xiangxi are the mystery of "Tianmen Fanshui" and "Tianmen Fanshui". "Tianmen Fanshui" is the cliff top on the right side of Tianmen Cave. In dry season, there will be sudden flood on sunny days, and there is no water at the outlet. The local people have basically witnessed this strange phenomenon many times. More mysteriously, the year of water boiling always coincides with the year of major historical events or natural disasters. Tianmen Guai is also a household name in Zhangjiajie. Almost all local residents believe that in recent decades, the direction of Tianmen Cave has been quietly turning. In the past, the location of Tianmen Cave could be clearly seen in several places in the city, but now it can't be seen because of the wrong direction. Only when the Tianmen Cave rotates from north to northwest will this happen. Want to know: Where is Tianmen Hu Jia Garden in Tianmen City?

Hu Jia Garden, the official residence of late Qing Dynasty in Tianmen

Hu Jia Garden (also known as Hu Xunping Guanting), located in Xiaozili, Yanjiao Street, Jingling, Tianmen City, was built at 1899, and was the former residence of Hu Pin, the governor of Shaanxi Province in Qing Dynasty. According to experts, Hu Jia Garden is the only governor's office in our province, and it is the most complete and largest official residence in the late Qing Dynasty.

According to Tianmen County Records. Hu Pinzhi (1840-1912), Qiu Ren, is also an outstanding minister, whose name is Jing Yi, and he is a native of Jingling. 1864 (three years of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty), the scholar was selected in the following year and was elected as Jishi Shu. 1868, edited by academician courtyard. 1874 (in the 13th year of Tongzhi), he has served as an examiner for senior high school entrance examination, an examiner after having obtained the provincial examination in Sichuan, a bachelor, a Shao Qing in Taibu Temple and a magistrate in Shuntianfu. 189 1 year (17th year of Guangxu reign of Qing dynasty) 65438+ February, as the deployment envoy of Shanxi. 1894, awarded Assistant Minister of Ministry of War, Governor of Shanxi Province, and right deputy envoy of Duchayuan. He was transferred to Zhejiang Buzheng, Shaanxi Governor, and later served as Shanxi Governor. He has been an official in Shanxi for more than seven years. During his tenure, according to the traffic jam, people's poverty and backward culture in Shanxi, on the one hand, he urged to change the bad habit of giving lectures and drowning poems in the old college, and set up courses in mathematics, astronomy, geography, farming and military affairs in Taiyuan Lingde College, inviting masters to teach, so as to train bachelor students to "understand the new methods and keep pace with the times". At the same time, all provinces have commemorated, promulgated and implemented the Charter of Please Flexible University. On the other hand, he put forward the strategy of enriching the people and strengthening the army to Emperor Guangxu. 65438-0892 presided over the preparation of Taiyuan Match Bureau of Shanxi No.1 Factory. 1894, Shanxi Merchants Bureau was established. Due to the influence of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1898, it was not until the first day of the first month of 1898 (the twenty-fourth year of Guangxu) that the imperial edict was issued, ordering "to start as soon as possible and concentrate on military supplies". He sent agents to build the machine bureau first. In the same year, he put forward the idea of building railways and developing mines. In March of that year, he sent people to Beijing to sign the Liu-Tai Railway Contract (Article 16) with Hua-Russian Bank, and reached a loan agreement to build a railway (that is, railway) from Liulinbao, Zhengding Prefecture, Zhili, with a total length of 500 miles. In May, it signed the Articles of Association on Mining, Ironmaking and Transportation of Various Minerals with the British Fortune Company (Article 20), and borrowed 65.438 million taels of silver to develop Shanxi coal and iron mines. After the failure of Wude's political reform, he was strongly opposed by conservatives and was dismissed from his official position on June1899+1October 16.

In his later years, Hu Pin camped in the dutiful son of Tianmen County, closed the door and thanked guests, entertaining himself with poetry, painting and calligraphy. 19 12 (the first year of the Republic of China) died in Shanghai. Its camp is Hu Jia Garden.

Hu Jia Garden covers a total area of about1.8000 square meters, and the main building area is about 3000 square meters, which is the architectural layout form of "gradual axis, front hall and back hall". The complex consists of courtyards and gardens surrounded by the buildings of the central hall, the eastern hall and the western hall and their ancillary buildings (at present, the subsequent buildings of the eastern hall and the western hall still exist, the main building of the central hall is basically intact, and the garden no longer exists). Its architectural form, modeling and structural treatment obviously have the characteristics of residential buildings in northern China, such as rough and bold modeling, wide and clear space, tall and heavy buildings and so on. At the same time, according to the local conditions and the climate characteristics in the south, the corresponding structural forms are adopted. If the slope of the sloping roof is large, it is the transformation of the gentle roof in the north. In addition, the building has the characteristics of western-style decoration in the decoration of walls, ceilings and doorposts, so it has a profound historical and cultural accumulation.

According to expert analysis, Ting Hu's achievements in architectural art mainly include three points:

First, it lies in its neat and perfect overall layout. Ting Hu organized the building around the central hall. The central hall has five wells and one corridor, and the buildings are symmetrically arranged along the central axis of 100 meters. Walking from the main hall gate, the main hall, the main hall, the second hall, the building and the study are located on this axis in turn. There are small courtyards surrounded by courtyards between the main hall and the lobby, and between the lobby and the main hall. These two yards are ten meters square. The second patio is a little bigger. Plant a big tree in the middle. In addition to lighting and ventilation, the patio also has the meaning of "four waters return to the hall" (because there are many businesses in Jinzhong, people compare rainwater to money and wealth, and building a patio is to collect rainwater from the roof into the patio, symbolizing the accumulation of wealth). The important function of the hall is to welcome guests and receive ordinary guests; The shape of the lobby is higher than that of the lobby, and it seems to be the place to welcome distinguished guests. The main hall seems to be used as a host's office. The second hall deals with weddings, funerals and housework. The room above is the lady's bedroom. Rongrenzhai is the embroidered building, the children's bedroom and study. The functional division of building layout is clear, and the space gradually enters the private part from the public part; At the same time, it fully embodies the strict feudal hierarchy and patriarchal ethics system.

The second is its unique and ingenious structural system. Ting Hu East Pavilion was converted into the warehouse of Tianmen Salt Industry Company on 1965. There are two old houses with patios (including corridors and wings) behind the East Hall. The west hall still exists. The opening of the East-West Hall is about 15- 16 meters, which is slightly smaller than the central main building, and the front hall of the West Hall is about 30 meters deep. Surprisingly, I didn't see a pillar in such a large span of internal space. At the same time, the indoor light is sufficient and the illumination can meet the needs of work. Ventilation and drainage system is relatively complete. Indoor lighting is mainly organized by high side windows on both sides of gables, two tiger windows on the roof and evenly distributed exposed tile skylights. The treatment of the structure is unique and ingenious. Through the overlapping of beams, triangular beams and special-shaped beams, the self-gravity of the roof and structure is transferred to the pilaster of the external wall. Tiger windows are not only used for lighting, but also for ventilation.

Third, it embodies the superb construction level and exquisite technology. The mountain flowers on the exterior wall, the wood grain at the eaves, the carving on the window lattice roof truss, the separation of the column base, the shape of the bracket and the corner polishing of the wall all reflect the exquisite skills of the craftsmen. The gables on both sides are composed of horse-headed walls, with towering cloud steps and rugged architectural buildings, which are very spectacular and vividly show the majestic and noble official residence momentum of Ting Hu.

Today's gardens in Hu Jia have experienced a hundred years of wind and rain. In addition to natural damage, man-made damage is also very serious. The East Hall and private garden no longer exist, and the lobby of the main building has also been changed into shops. The damage of the other halls is also obvious, but all this is not beyond repair. Due to historical reasons, Hu Jia Garden is not a formal cultural relic protection unit at present, but it is still rented out by the real estate department as a residential building, to more than 30 households and some merchants.

Since 2000, relevant departments have planned to demolish Hu Jia Garden for real estate development, which has aroused widespread concern in society.

. People of insight shouted loudly, "It is urgent to protect Hu Jia gardens", which finally made them survive to this day. The relevant departments made special instructions to the municipal government to straighten out the management system of gardens in Hu Jia, and CPPCC also included suggestions on protecting and developing Hu Jia gardens as key supervision suggestions, which laid a good foundation for protecting and developing the historical and cultural value of Hu Jia gardens, an ancient building.
