Visit Feng Menglong Village

Feng Menglong (1574-1646), a writer and dramatist in the Ming Dynasty. His legendary collection of works "Essays to Tell the World", "Words to Warn the World", "Everlasting Words to Awaken the World" and Ling Shuchu's "Surprise at the First Moment" and "Surprise at the Second Moment" are collectively called "Three Words and Two Pai", which are historical records. A classic representative of Shanghai vernacular short stories, especially "Du Shiniang's Furious Treasure Chest" was adapted into movies and operas, and was once almost a household name among women and children.

But where he is from, I have never paid attention to it. It was recently discovered that his home is in Xingang Village, Huangdai Town, Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, and Xingang Village has now been directly renamed Feng Menglong Village. Although there is still controversy about where Feng Menglong's former residence is, since Feng Menglong Village exists, there must be a reason and a reason to visit. So I made an appointment with my friends to go there.

I did some research before going there and got a rough understanding of the general situation and main attractions of Feng Menglong Village. In order to commemorate Feng Menglong, Feng Menglong Village rebuilt the Feng Menglong Cultural Square, Feng Menglong Memorial Hall, "Feng Menglong's Hometown" archway, Yulong Pavilion, Late Love Pavilion and other memorial pavilions, as well as "Four Pictures Temple" and other memorial buildings. In addition, there are two large seas of flowers. One piece is verbena, and the other piece is Gesang flower.

At eight o'clock in the morning, take the Line 4 subway from Songling Avenue to the terminal, Longdaobang. After exiting the station, we could have taken the 822 bus, but because we were not familiar with the place names and did not know the distance between the bus stop and the scenic spots, we took the bus anyway.

We are going to see the verbena first and enjoy the flowers and take photos, which is the happiest tourist item for women.

In the car, we asked the driver to drive to the location of Verbena. It turned out that the driver didn’t know the specific location of Verbena. Then we planned to get off the bus at Feng Menglong Village and then find out more. Unexpectedly, the large verbena was right next to the highway. We immediately asked the driver to stop the car, got off the car and went straight to the sea of ??flowers.

There are tourists in twos and threes in the purple sea of ??flowers. Compared with the verbena in the resort, there are far fewer aunts posing for pictures, and they are also allowed to walk into the grass and take pictures. My friends and I avoided other tourists and found a place where there were few people and the verbena grew tall and densely. We took pictures there as much as we wanted... After playing for nearly two hours, the weather cleared up. , the sun was getting stronger, and the photos were almost taken, we left the sea of ??flowers and planned to go to Feng Menglong Village.

I asked the security guard for directions, and he said it would take twenty minutes to walk there. We planned to walk there as a way to exercise. But because the weather was a bit hot, I felt a little tired halfway through the walk. When I saw someone enjoying a bicycle, the two of them started riding there. The two of them, who had a friend's driver's license and dared not drive, were now proud of themselves: Not bad, not bad, they can ride a bicycle!

The sea of ????Gelsang flowers is right in front of Feng Menglong Village, but because the sun was shining high, the photo effect was not good, so we decided to visit the village first.

When we arrived at the visitor center, the door was closed. We decided to rest on the veranda behind the visitor center for a while and eat the lunch we brought. I brought bread, tomatoes and eggs, and my friend brought fried meat dumplings, braised beef and milk. These foods are much more comfortable to eat than ordinary dine-in meals.

After lunch and sitting for a while, feeling almost rested, the two of them set off for a walk around Feng Menglong. However, because Feng Menglong's former residence, memorial hall and academy were all closed, there was not much to see, so the two of them chatted leisurely in the Wanjing Pavilion.

It was past two o'clock and the sun was setting slightly in the west. We decided to go to the Gesang Flower Field to take pictures. Compared with verbena, the photography effect of the Gesang flower field is poor because the flowers are low and sparse, so the two people were not particularly enthusiastic about taking pictures.

So I rode a *** shared bicycle to the bus stop, and soon I got on the 822 bus to Ryudaobang. Back to Tao's house, it's half past four, just in time to make dinner.

To be honest, apart from the sea of ??flowers, Feng Menglong Village’s sights have yet to be developed.
