When is the Dalian Cherry Blossom Festival?

It is held every year from April 20th to May 10th.

China Dalian International Cherry Blossom Festival is co-organized by Dalian Tourism Bureau of Liaoning Province and Lushunkou District People's Government. It uses cherry blossoms as the medium and integrates tourism, folk culture display, fitness and entertainment. Leisure tourism activities, founded in 1998. In 2009, it was officially renamed "China Dalian International Cherry Blossom Festival".

Lushunkou District of Dalian City is the urban area with the earliest and largest number of cherry blossoms planted in my country, with more than 30,000 cherry blossoms. During the Cherry Blossom Festival, the opening ceremony, a series of hiking and flower-viewing leisure and fitness activities for thousands of Dalian citizens, the "Sakura Blossoms in My Eyes" photography competition, a tea-picking hot spring fitness tour on Laotieshan Mountain, and a field outing tour on Erlong Mountain were held.

In 2022, Lushun Cultural Tourism Group will carefully create a cherry blossom feast that integrates leisure, scientific innovation, ancient style, and ecology. At present, there are more than 6,000 cherry blossoms and more than 30 varieties of cherry blossoms in Lushun Sakura Garden. In mid-April, single-petal cherry blossoms such as Somei Yoshino, Edo Higan, Kawazu Sakura, plum blossoms, magnolias, etc. are in full bloom. After April 20, white miao, Double-petaled cherry blossoms such as Songyue, Samantabhadra, Tulip, and Weeping Cherry blossoms bloom one after another.

This year’s Cherry Blossom Festival has newly set up a camping base (Chuyuan) and an RV base (top parking lot). The camping base has various theme tents such as Indian and canopy tents; the RV base can provide accommodation for RVs and overlook the mountain top. Enjoy the beautiful scenery in the cherry blossom garden and breathe the fresh air of nature. Today, Lushun Cherry Garden will hold a Hanfu parade, martial arts Bajiquan performance, Ming-style archery demonstration, martial arts armor-wearing Miao Dao performance and other activities.
