The Longevity Palace in Shatian, Guidong is a cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province, a classic red tourism scenic spot, and a patriotic education base.

Guidong Shatian Wanshou Palace—the site of Mao Zedong and other revolutionary activities is located in the Wanshou Palace Neighborhood Committee of Shatian Town, Guidong County, Chenzhou City.

At the end of March 1928, at the request of the Southern Hunan Special Committee, Mao Zedong led the 1st Regiment of the 1st Division of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army to Hunan to respond to the Southern Hunan Uprising, and arrived at Shatian Market in eastern Guangxi on March 30. The division headquarters and regiment headquarters are both located in Wanshou Palace. Mao Zedong lived in the right wing of the upper hall. Here in the middle hall, he hosted important meetings such as the meeting of leaders of the 1st Regiment of the Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army and the meeting of representatives of workers, peasants and soldiers, studying and deploying the agrarian revolutionary struggle in the Shatian area, and organizing the Guidong Red Guards. It was adapted and named "Guerrillas of the Hunan-Jiangxi Border Region". When Mao Zedong was in Shatin, he held mass meetings on the Shatin stage. In August of the same year, after the 28th and 29th regiments of the 4th Red Army were frustrated in their attack on Chenzhou, Zhu De and Chen Yi led the main force of the 4th Red Army to move to the Shatian area to carry out revolutionary activities. Chen Yi lived in the ear room of Wanshou Palace. Zhu De and Chen Yi held mass meetings on the Shatin stage many times to mobilize the masses to carry out the agrarian revolutionary movement. Wanshou Palace is also the residence of the New Fourth Army garrison in Shatin. In early 1938, the Red Army Guerrilla Detachment in the Hunan-Guangdong-Jiangxi Border Region was reorganized into the Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army in Shatin and went to the anti-Japanese front line. After that, the New Fourth Army's Stay Office in Shatin was formally established. It was stationed in Longevity Palace. Wanshou Palace was built in the late Qing Dynasty. It is an ancient temple-style building with a suspended mountain-style brick and wood structure. It has three entrance halls, which increase in height successively, with a construction area of ??421.7 square meters. There is a singing platform in the front hall connected with the cloister, the middle and back halls are separated by wooden barriers, and there are wing rooms on both sides. In the early Republic of China, it was destroyed by a fire caused by a Taoist priest. Later, Jiangxi merchants raised funds to build it into the "Jiangxi Guild Hall", retaining the original layout and structure of the palace and the appearance of the palace gate.

The Longevity Palace in Shatian, Guidong was announced as a key cultural relics protection unit in Hunan Province by the Hunan Provincial Revolutionary Committee in September 1972.
