1. Introduction

"Yingzi's Stunt" is produced by Zhejiang Tianpeng Media Company and Chun'an Qiandao Lake Tourism Group Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., and directed by Billy August , a war drama starring Liu Yifei, Emile Hirsch, Yu Shaoqun, Yan Yikuan, and Li Fangcong, was released in mainland China on November 10, 2017.

The film is adapted from real historical events during World War II. It tells the story of an American pilot who ran out of fuel and made an emergency landing on the coast of Zhejiang, China during a mission, and was rescued by a Chinese woman.

In June 2017, the film was shortlisted for the main competition unit of the Golden Goblet Award at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival and served as the opening film of the film festival.

2. Plot

After the Pearl Harbor incident, in order to boost morale, the then President of the United States ordered the bombing of Tokyo. After the mission was completed, Captain Jack Turner (Emile Hirsch) and his team made an emergency landing in Zhejiang Province, China due to running out of fuel.

Yingzi (played by Liu Yifei) and her daughter accidentally discovered Jack who was in a coma. Despite risking his life, Yingzi still did not give up on this American who needed help. Although they don't understand the language, this relationship is destined to affect their lives.
