Dagushan apricot blossom festival time

The apricot blossom festival in Dagushan is held every April.

On April 13, 2023 Dandong Donggang Cultural Tourism Festival and the fifth apricot and plum blossom tourism festival in Dagushan opened. Wandering in the ancient town, strolling in the apricot garden, blooming branches and nifty flowers make tourists stop again and again. The sweet fragrance of flowers is immersed in every inch of air, which makes people intoxicated.

Dagushan Plum Garden covers an area of more than 50 mu and is rich in Gushan Plum, which has been cultivated in the local area for more than 100 years. Because of its big head, small core, thick meat, yellow skin and flexible and juicy meat, it is known as the "golden egg" and is one of the special fruits in Donggang. In the eyes of local fruit farmers, the layers of apricot flowers and plum blossoms indicate that this year is another bumper harvest year.

1, Dandong chestnut

Chestnut has been cultivated for two or three thousand years, and the cultivation of chestnut trees in Liaoning Province began in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Chestnuts can be eaten raw, fried with sugar, roasted, canned, ground into cakes and cooked with a spoon.

Donggang strawberry, also known as red berries, foreign berries and ground berries, is a kind of red fruit. Strawberry is the general name of the genus strawberry in Rosaceae, which belongs to perennial herbs. 3. Rhododendron Dandong

China is the hometown of azaleas. Rhododendron in Dandong, Liaoning Province has spread to Sichuan, Shanghai, Xinjiang, Zhejiang, Beijing and even Flower City Guangzhou with its unique charm. Dandong is located in the mid-latitude area, with four distinct seasons, and belongs to the continental monsoon humid climate of warm temperate zone. Winter is the longest, followed by summer, and the transition season between spring and autumn is the shortest, which is suitable for planting azaleas.
