Wanning is a county-level city in Hainan Province, located in the southeast of Hainan Island, bordering the South China Sea in the east, Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County in the west, Lingshui Li Autonomous County in the south and qionghai city in the north. It is located between east longitude11000'-1034' and north latitude 18 35'- 19 06', with a total area of 1883.5 square kilometers.

In August, the Qing soldiers crossed the sea to restore Qiongzhou government, and the generals and horses led the officers and men to settle down and garrison Wanzhou, and this place was restored to the jurisdiction of the Qing army.
