Go back in time and travel with foreigners to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River at 1980.

At the end of 1970s, China began to reform and open to the outside world, and China's tourism market also opened a new era of opening to the outside world. Foreign tourists poured into various parts of China.

Looking at the route of their trip to China in those years, I specially combed it and determined the city as follows: Guangzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing-Wuhan-Beijing. As for Xi 'an, I'm not sure whether it is included in that trip.

The four pictures in this paper are 1980, 12 or 13. They arrived in Chongqing in August, and boarded the boat downstream at Chaotianmen Wharf, and were taken in August 14.

The first photo: Dongfanghong XX photographed by foreigners in those years is entering Kuimen of Qutang Gorge. Look at the photos. The water quantity and turbidity of the Yangtze River should be in the summer flood season.

As for the ship that foreigners take, it must be the Dongfanghong series passenger ship, because it will take more than a year for the foreign-related cruise goddess of Changhang to board. As for which Dongfanghong passenger ship I took in those years, I contacted foreigners, because it was so old that foreigners didn't know it, but it was a small Dongfanghong passenger ship, similar to Dongfanghong 122. A little photo of the bow shows that it should also be a small passenger ship.

The second photo: Fengxiang Gorge. In fact, many people have never really seen what Fengboxia looks like. Natural cracks, caves, and bare rock walls are easy to be associated with divine excavation and are related to Lu Ban.

The third photo: Entering Kuimen. There were not so many ships coming and going in the Three Gorges in the early 1980s. At that time, there were wooden human sailboats in the Three Gorges, so the Dongfanghong series passenger ships that foreigners took in those years were already very good.

The fourth photo: According to the foreigner's explanation, this is a whirlpool shot in Qutangxia. But this vortex can be seen everywhere in the old Three Gorges, especially Qutang Gorge. The first time I went to the Three Gorges in 1996, the whirlpools in Qutang Gorge were really fierce one after another. I was on a local boat, not big. After entering the canyon, I obviously felt the impact of the vortex on the hull and swayed from side to side.

In the end, because of the age, the foreigner himself can't remember many details, but his reply to me pointed the ship type to Dongfanghong 122. The photo of Dongfanghong 122 was also taken by foreigners at that time.

The accurate shooting time of the first four photos is1August 980 14.
