Do American summer schools have to have an F 1 visa?

American summer schools don't necessarily need a visa of F 1, but a visa of B 1/B2 is also acceptable.

Visa B 1 is issued to applicants who go to the United States for short-term business activities, including signing contracts through negotiation, attending exhibitions or conferences, short-term training or negotiating business with suppliers or customers.

B2 visas are issued to applicants who travel to the United States, including sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends and medical treatment. Holders of B 1 and B2 visas cannot work in the United States.

Interview visa-free conditions (all four conditions must be met):

1, the last time I applied for multiple visas to the United States, the applicant went to the United States with a visa and left the country during his stay.

2. The application time is within 48 months from the visa expiration date, and the applicant has not been refused a visa by the United States after obtaining a visa from the United States.
