Tiger Leaping Gorge Tourism

From Lijiang to Shanghutiao Gorge, and then to Zhonghutiao Gorge.

The Tiger Leaping Gorge is located in the southeast of Zhongdian. It is divided into Upper Tiger Leaping, Middle Tiger Leaping and Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge, with 18 dangerous shoals. The narrowest point of the river is only more than 30 meters. The river is threatened by the two snow-capped mountains of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba. The altitude difference is more than 3,900 meters. It is one of the most famous hiking and adventure canyons in the world. Instead of hiking into Yubeng, I chose to hike Zhonghutiao for a day. Sometimes I often feel that the mountains, the forest, and the distance are calling, making people unable to stop and have no choice but to stand in front of them.

The car passed through Shanghutiao Gorge and was approaching the hiking point of Zhonghutiao Gorge. Due to the landslide, the road was cut off and we had to walk through the landslide point. The mountains around us are steep. In the canyon between the two mountains, the river flows rapidly, and the Gesang flowers bloom on the roadside. The Gesang flowers here seem to be particularly strong. The flower paths are thicker than those seen on the grassland. They are tall. The high ground overlooks the river in the canyon on the side of the mountain. The bright colors of the petals and the turbid color of the river, the silence of the Gesang flowers and the roar of the river all form a sharp contrast. Passing between them, there is a lavender color. Energy, injected into the heart.
