Xiamen Business Tourism School is organized by Xiamen Municipal Government and directly under Xiamen Education Bureau. Its school-running history can be traced back to Xiamen Wentong College, which was founded in 1898.
The school is the first batch of demonstration schools for the reform and development of secondary vocational education in China, the national advanced unit of vocational education, the national digital campus experimental school, the first batch of training bases for skilled talents in short supply in China, national key middle schools, civilized campuses in Fujian Province and high-level vocational colleges in Fujian Province.
The school covers an area of 328 mu, with a building area of 6,543.8+0.6 million square meters. It consists of flight attendant preschool education department, tourism department, automobile department, business department, accounting department, information engineering department and basic teaching department.
There are 296 full-time teachers in the school, including 2 special-grade teachers, 2 full-time and senior lecturers, expert teachers and municipal academic leaders 18, senior lecturers 9 1 and double-qualified teachers 140.
In 2020, the national vocational college teachers' teaching ability competition won 1 first prize and two second prizes, ranking first in the country in both the number of gold medals and the total number of medals; 1 the teacher won the gold medal in the national vocational college skills competition for the ability of class teachers in secondary vocational schools, the only one in Fujian Province; Four teaching teams won the first prize in the province's teachers' teaching ability competition.
