Border tourism refers to the reception organized by approved travel agencies.

According to the Interim Measures for the Administration of Border Tourism, border tourism refers to the tourism activities that citizens of China and neighboring countries collectively enter and leave the designated border ports within the area and time limit agreed by the two governments, and are organized and received by approved travel agencies.

To apply for border tourism business, you must meet the following conditions:

1. Border cities and counties open to foreigners with the approval of the State Council;

2. There are national first-class and second-class ports officially approved by the state to open to the outside world, and the port joint inspection facilities are basically complete;

3. Travel agencies that can receive foreign tourists with the approval of the tourism administration department;

4. Conditionally handle the entry and exit documents of the participants nearby;

5. Have traffic conditions and reception facilities;

6. Sign an intentional agreement with the tourism department in the border area of the other country.

Interim Measures for the Administration of Border Tourism Article 2 The term "border tourism" as mentioned in these Provisions refers to the tourism activities organized by approved travel agencies to receive citizens from China and neighboring countries, collectively enter and leave designated border ports, and conduct in the areas and time agreed by the two governments.

Interim Measures for the Administration of Border Tourism Article 3 The National Tourism Administration is the competent department of border tourism, responsible for formulating relevant policies and administrative measures for border tourism, macro-managing border tourism, and approving travel agencies undertaking border tourism.

Article 6 "Interim Measures for the Administration of Border Tourism" Necessary conditions for applying for opening border tourism business:

(1) Border cities and counties open to foreigners with the approval of the State Council;

(2) There are national first-class and second-class ports officially approved by the state to open to the outside world, and the port joint inspection facilities are basically complete;

(3) Travel agencies approved by the tourism administration department to receive foreign tourists;
