What is it like for a girlfriend to work in the service industry?

I have been engaged in the catering industry before, because my major is tourism management (hotel direction), and my boyfriend actually doesn’t like me working in a hotel.

Anyone who has worked in the catering service industry knows that this job is extremely tiring. Especially when the weather is cool in the golden autumn, there are many wedding banquets, and it is even more tiring at that time. I remember that the five-star hotel where I was interning at the time was already fully booked for weddings in October. One at noon and one at night. Oh my God, those times are the most tiring. Usually, if we are in the zero o'clock lobby, most of the guests will leave after 2 o'clock. We can also find a quiet place to sleep for a while. But if it's a wedding banquet, you have to quickly turn the tables after the luncheon, and then start preparing for the wedding banquet in the evening. After the evening, you still have to turn the tables before leaving, which basically takes around 1 o'clock.

At that time, my boyfriend returned to my hometown for an internship. We happened to be in different places, and I was very busy, so I didn’t have time to take care of him. I was very tired every day, and he couldn't help me with anything, so I kept blaming him. So we broke up for a while.

In fact, in the catering industry and tourism industry, girls don’t have a particularly good reputation, especially in places with old-fashioned ideas. They think that women in these service industries rely on their faces and figures. Winning the goodwill of customers and then rising to prominence. But who can understand how hard it is for us? Normally, if a customer is unhappy, he will often open his mouth and scold us. Just like when I was interning in a five-star hotel, there were still low-quality guests who scolded the waiters when they opened their mouths. Therefore, it is not easy in any industry. I hope we can understand each other.
