Tongde County's History and Culture

Tongde county is also known as the hometown of Japanese culture. With the ancient Yellow River as the humanistic background and the famous Japanese culture as the keynote, a large-scale "Japanese Culture and Art Festival" is held every year in the form of "building a cultural stage and singing opera in economy and trade". The important carrier of Zongri culture is Zongri Site, which is located near tuanjie village, Bagou Township, Tongde County, with an area of more than 50,000 square meters. It is a Neolithic cultural site with the largest area and extremely rich connotation discovered earlier in the upper reaches of the Yellow River. The original tourism resources have yet to be developed. There are three large-scale, quiet and mysterious religious temples: Shizang Temple, Laga Temple and Sailihai Temple. The Yellow River Grand Canyon in Laga, Deyang and Banduo has deep grass forests and stormy waves; Green mountains and green waters, beautiful scenery of Hebei, Matthew natural forest area; Long and unique Buddhist culture and folk art.

Tongde County has a long history of ethnic and religious culture, rich ethnic customs and rich cultural tourism resources. Tibetan Buddhist temples, such as Shizang Temple and Sailihai Temple, have a history of more than 230 years and are ancient cultures admired by Tibetan people. There are 44 cultural relics such as Mianertan Site (listed as provincial key cultural relics protection unit in July, 1986), Douhouyan Site and Tang Site. The heritage of ancient buildings is also an important landscape.
