Can I rent a car when I travel to Japan?
Charter travel is ok (hiring cars and drivers), but renting a car and driving by car is generally not. Driving habits in Japan are contrary to those in China, and they all drive on the right, so China's driver's license cannot be directly used in Japan even if it is notarized and translated into Japanese. Unless you go to another country to get an international driver's license, it is actually a notarized translation, only a country recognized by Japan.
