The high-speed train from Jinan to Yantai takes more than 3 hours, and the baby will play with toys quietly on the train.

The temperature in Yantai in June is very comfortable, but the temperature difference between morning and evening is a bit large. Your baby can wear short-sleeved T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts or sun protection clothing.

It is recommended to check the weather forecast before departure, just in case, we also brought raincoats and rain boots.

It is a long way from Yantai South Railway Station to the Sheraton Hotel. It takes about an hour to drive, and a taxi costs 100 one way. So we booked a car with CARInc. in advance and picked it up at the parking lot opposite Yantai South Station. Less than 5 minutes walk so easy to find.

My old mother ordered takeout on the way and when it was delivered to the hotel lobby, we arrived.

The room is spacious and bright, Sheraton is an ordinary standard.

The baby sleeps in the big bed with us. In order to prevent the children from falling off the bed, we asked the hotel for a baffle. Unfortunately, the bezel had already been issued that day. Parents who have the same needs are advised to indicate this when booking.

Just after dinner, Eva couldn't wait to go to the beach to dig sand.

Yantai Golden Beach

The private beach provided by the hotel is super convenient for children to play in the sand.

Unlike resort hotels in Hainan, there are no deck chairs or umbrellas on the beach, and the supporting facilities are still at a relatively rudimentary level.

It is recommended that you bring a waterproof picnic mat, which can be purchased in advance at Wan Neng Bao.

The room is 3 minutes away from the beach.

Because it was about the afternoon, there were not many people on the beach, and there were three families playing with us. The sun on the beach is very strong, but the sea breeze is blowing, it is not hot at all and it is very comfortable.

The sand is fine and clean, and the baby will start digging in the sand as soon as he arrives at the beach.

The sea temperature is just right in the afternoon, so you can go to the beach to wade.

Wang Yong Mengliaocheng

After returning from the beach, we drove to a hotel near AEON Mengliaocheng for dinner, which took about 10 minutes.

There happens to be an Ultraman themed exhibition in the mall. When I saw the Ultraman baby, I was so surprised that I took all kinds of photos.

Eating and shopping in shopping malls are very convenient and there are many choices. We chose a newly opened Korean restaurant, and the service from the lady in the store was great.

After dinner, go to the supermarket to buy some food supplies for the baby. There are many unheard of Korean products in supermarkets.

There is a free children's play area on the third floor of the mall, suitable for children aged 1-3. There is also a dedicated children's bathroom, which is very considerate.

Yangma Island

After breakfast, we drove to Mayang Island, which was the first attraction of our trip and took about an hour.

Mayang Island is a free attraction and online celebrity island in Yantai, which is known as the Maldives in China. Many young ladies from TikTok came to check in.

Sure enough, the water is crystal clear and amazing!

Different from Golden Beach, the seaside of Mayang Island is covered with beautiful stones. But watch your feet.

If you move a big rock away, you will definitely find a small crab hidden underneath.

Yantai Mountain

We spent the morning on Mayang Island and went to Yantai Mountain in the afternoon.

It takes about an hour’s drive from Mayang Island to Yantai Mountain. They are all on the sea-ring highway, and the scenery is huge. My dad has a lot of fun driving.

Yantai Mountain is located in Zhifu District, Yantai, and the attractions are free.

Although it is called a mountain, its altitude is only 42.5 meters. Children over 2 years old have no problem climbing up, and smaller babies are also easy to pick up.

I will pass several interesting museums, exhibitions or old sites. There are Peking Opera Art Museum, Bing Xin Memorial Hall, Jiaodong Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall, etc. There are also Dragon King Temple, Beacon Tower Ruins, and English Garden, all of a very mixed style.

There is a lighthouse on the top of the mountain, which is said to be the landmark building of Yantai.

This lighthouse can be reached by elevator. There is a one-time fee of 5 yuan for adults, and no charge for children. The scenery above is very good and the sea breeze is strong.

What interests Eva most are the several exhibition halls on the first floor of the lighthouse, which display some photos of maritime rescue and maritime security. We spent a long time at the lighthouse, visited all the exhibition halls, and learned a lot of little knowledge.

There are also many beautiful old Western-style buildings in the scenic area. Walking on the winding path, you will feel like you are on Gulangyu Island.

We found a very big ant on the mountain, several times larger than what we usually see downstairs in the community. The children observed it very carefully.

While climbing the mountain, Eva took a fancy to a toy simulation snake sold at a stall. The painting style at the back became like this, which successfully scared a few young ladies passing by.

East Fortress Park

East Fortress Park, which is very close to Yantai Mountain, is also a free attraction. The view from the fort is very nice.

A hundred years ago, this was a rare place in Haiphong. Emperor Guangxu built a fort here and asked German technicians to supervise its construction and install the most technologically advanced Krupp cannon at the time.

Seeing the legendary cannon, Eva felt very powerful.

There is also a seal museum in the scenic area, which is charged separately. Interested parents can take their babies to have a look.

Mong Kok Fishing Village

After playing for a whole day, we were all hungry. There are so many delicious things to eat in Yantai, but the best thing is all kinds of seafood. Any street restaurant is good.

We chose Mongkok, a famous fishing village in Yantai. The seafood is so delicious. The taste is light and not spicy, and the baby is very happy to eat it.

I ordered seven dishes and it was only over three hundred.

In addition, the noodles in Yantai are great. I recommend the fish noodles and fried dumplings. There are also dumplings with various fillings, sea urchin, sea sausage, and the famous mackerel dumplings, which are no longer popular here.

After checking out at noon, we drove to the famous Hongli Seafood Market. An important task of this trip is to buy seafood and cherries.

It was almost noon when we arrived, and almost all the seafood was sold out. If you want to choose fresher seafood, it is recommended that you come early. It is said that the seafood caught by fishing boats in the early morning is full of everything and is alive and kicking.

Not expensive either. We bought ten abalones, two boxes of mackerel mince and a bag of oysters, totaling more than 200 yuan.

The end of May and the beginning of June is the cherry season in Yantai, where a variety of cherries are produced. For this trip, I recommend a small yellow cherry called Topaz (different sizes, 14-20 yuan per pound, the small ones taste great if you eat them yourself, and the big ones can be given to friends). It looks ugly, but it’s sweet and sour and delicious. On the train back, we ate two pounds in one sitting, which refreshed my understanding of yellow cherries.

Yantai people can easily enjoy the freedom of cherries and seafood. So happy.

Lighthouse Coffee Shop

In the afternoon, there is still a little time before the train leaves. Father Qin Hewa accompanied his old mother to a coffee shop owned by an Internet celebrity (Laishan Dingtao). A coffee shop opened on the seaside lighthouse.

The store is not big, and the sea view is very good. The whole store feels more suitable for dating and daze, but if you bring an energetic little boy, the sand and beach may be more suitable for him.

During the entire trip, because food and accommodation were very convenient and there was little rush, the children were very cooperative and happy.

I originally wanted to go to Haichang Whale Shark Ocean Park, Changdao, and Penglai Pavilion, but 3 days were too short. It would be perfect with a 5-6 day visit. I can only leave these beautiful regrets. Please come back next time to check in.
