The relationship between tourism culture and economy (preferably in detail)
1. Economy and culture have always been inseparable, but the relationship between them has never been so close as in modern times. In feudal society, China was mainly a self-sufficient economy. An agricultural family can farm their own land and have enough to eat. Communication between people is not as important as modern commodity society. Production requires people to collectively write, consume, exchange and circulate. As an ideology, culture played a positive role at this time.
2. The development of economy leads to the development of culture, and the progress of culture also leads to the development of economy. The two are complementary. For example, the development and progress of modern network technology directly leads to a special cultural form, namely network culture, and the development of tourism economy leads to the development of tourism culture. On the other hand, the development of network culture puts forward higher requirements for network technology, which leads to the further development of network technology and network economy.
3. When studying the influencing factors of economic growth, the new institutional economics puts forward that the factors that ultimately determine economic growth are not science and technology, land and capital, but institutions. Why? Because technological progress is ultimately determined by the system, and the system is conducive to innovation, technology will continue to progress. If the system is not conducive to technological innovation, technology cannot progress or even go backwards. The system he said includes formal rules and informal rules, which is actually ideology or what we call culture.
In fact, it is very common that culture will hinder economic development when it can't meet the needs of economic development. In our traditional culture, there are many manifestations of the thought of attaching importance to agriculture over commerce, egalitarianism (not suffering from poverty and inequality) and official standard. For example, the official standard has not weakened in modern times, but has been continuously strengthened, and the negative effects caused by it are also increasing. In order to attract talents, some places have begun to give doctors a deputy place. This sense of official position makes it impossible for those who can learn to study hard, and those who can be good employees can't do well, so everyone goes straight to a goal-being an official. The long-term damage to China will be enormous, long-term and hard to eliminate. It can be seen that economic development does not mean that culture will follow the progress immediately, and there is no reason to think that the two will develop simultaneously. China's economy has developed and it has a certain position in the world. What about culture? It's much slower than the fast-growing economy. Take a look at universities and research institutes and you will know that there is an impetuous atmosphere everywhere. People have published several articles than you, and how many topics have I signed up for. As for the usefulness and innovation of these achievements, no one cares. How many people can really calm down and do research step by step? So it is time for us to seriously reflect on cultural work.
I saw an article written by Zhang Laiyi entitled "Reflections on the Relationship between Western Culture and China's Market Economy", published in the third issue of Development magazine, 1998. This paper studies the relationship between western culture and economy, and compares it with China culture, which provides good materials for us to study the relationship between culture and economy. Therefore, I post the abstract of this article here for your reference.
Western culture, like China culture, has a long history of thousands of years, extensive and profound, and contains extremely rich contents. Among them, people-oriented, advocating rationality, responsibility concept, fair competition, paying attention to the rule of law, abiding by contracts, modern management and other ideas not only have a great influence and positive effect on the formation and development of western capitalist market economy, but also have reference significance for the establishment of socialist market economy in China. In western traditional culture, humanism is the first and recognized value concept. Westerners generally believe that personal interests are paramount, and all values, rights and obligations come from individuals. It emphasizes individual initiative and independence, and personal actions and interests. As individuals, we should have independence, responsibility and self-esteem. Only in this way can individuals get attention and respect. Western extreme individualism is incompatible with China's traditional culture, and it is also a trend of thought that we should prevent in building a socialist market economy today. Western culture highlights the dominant position of human beings in the universe and emphasizes the dignity and value of human beings as the main body. This humanistic concept has played an important historical role in opposing feudal autocracy, religious ignorance, personality worship and developing modern capitalism, and some of its ideological factors have great enlightenment to us. Market economy is an exchange economy based on equal exchange. The parties involved in the exchange activities must be free individuals and groups with subject status. Freedom, self-esteem, active creation and transcendence of reality in western humanistic values are the ideological premise of market economy, which requires human subjectivity, which is manifested in his right to be independent and free to choose. What enterprises or individuals produce, how much they produce and when they produce are all market-oriented and do not depend on government plans and indicators. Only in this way can the situation of free competition be possible, and the enthusiasm of enterprises and individuals can be mobilized. Western humanism advocates self-struggle and self-innovation. Westerners regard achievements made through personal struggle as a virtue. Personal struggle is to control your own destiny without relying on others. Young people in the west advocate self-reliance and self-improvement. When they grow up, they leave their families, set up their own homes and embark on the road of self-struggle. Market economy needs a spirit of self-improvement and innovation. Whether it is the development of new products or the formation of new ideas, it needs personal innovative spirit. A person who depends on society, parents and others everywhere will never become a trendsetter in the market economy.
In the west, reason is tradition. Rationalism is one of the basic spirits of western culture, which means emphasizing rationality, science, logical reasoning and analysis. In the western ethical tradition, the control of emotion by reason is emphasized. Market economy is closely related to rational principle, which is based on rationality. The presupposition of western economics is that "everyone is rational". Western enterprise management based on the spirit of rational culture has two basic characteristics: one is to rely on strict rules and regulations, and the other is to rely on strict organization, emphasizing the quantitative analysis of people, money and things. This scientific management thought can just make up for the deficiency of China's traditional management thought. In addition, in the current market economy construction in China, absorbing the factors of western rationalism culture can effectively promote economic individuals to seek the best means to achieve economic goals (profit maximization) and find effective ways to solve contradictions and conflicts among economic individuals. Western moral rationality can also become the basic premise of individual self-affirmation, self-development and self-improvement in the sea of market economy, which is helpful to overcome the short-term economic behavior that is widespread in China. The main feature of moral rationality lies in its inherent creativity and transcendence. It not only requires people to obtain ready-made values and existing living conditions from the outside world, but also requires people to constantly create new things and transcend the status quo. Moral rationality analyzes the rationality of individual and socio-economic behavior in market economy, inhibits the extreme expansion of individual selfish desires, and coordinates the social relationship between individuals and others. Like ancient China, in the ancient Middle Ages, for a long time, the western thought of attaching importance to agriculture over commerce was dominant. It was not until the religious reform in16th century, the change of the church's view on business activities and the appearance of Protestant ethics that western capitalism flourished. Martin Luther, the pioneer of the Reformation Movement, translated the concept of "God's call" into the concept of "occupation" when translating the Bible, believing that occupation is God's call and a lifelong task arranged by God. This concept requires individuals to fulfill their obligations in this life, that is, to assume the so-called "vocation." It regards secular affairs as the noblest moral activity that individuals engage in, thus sanctifying secular work. Everyone's occupation is the call of God, and all occupations are justified. In this way, people have a new understanding of the purpose of life. People are no longer passively waiting for the final judgment, but working hard on their careers. At the same time, it also requires people to abandon worldly lewd pleasures and win glory for God through hard work and career success. Only those who work hard can get God's grace. God helps those who he1p themselves. This has cultivated people's dedication and down-to-earth work spirit.
Calvin, another representative of the Religious Reform Movement, believes that man's fate has long been doomed by God, and that man's preciousness and poverty in this world are the signs of God's "voters" and "abandoning the people". Therefore, he encouraged people to be active in secular life, become rich, and prove that they were "chosen" by God with successful facts. It can be seen that Calvinism is not a negative fatalism philosophy, but a new behavioral morality. Only those who struggle tenaciously, are not afraid of difficulties and setbacks, and finally succeed are the people chosen by God. This theory provides a strong theoretical basis for the bourgeoisie to pursue wealth. Since then, people have generally changed their views on business activities, which has really given moral significance to business activities. Getting rich is no longer a sin, but a sign of being "chosen" by God. By the middle and late17th century, the pursuit of reasonable profits has completely become a content of Protestant ethics. Making money reasonably has become an economic and moral virtue. On the basis of the principles of piety, seriousness, diligence and honesty, Protestant economic ethics has gradually formed. The establishment of new economic ethics has greatly promoted the development of western economy.
Although China does not need to change its national values with new economic ethics. But its enlightening function lies in that positive and correct moral concepts have a great impetus to economic activities. Any social change is guided by the change of ideas and marked by the improvement of ideas. To establish a market economy system in China, we need to emancipate our minds first. It is necessary to liberate people from the dispute over surnames "she" and "zi" and overcome the traditional concepts that have long occupied people's minds, such as "the gentleman is righteous and the villain is beneficial" and "the gentleman speaks and the villain does it". Only in this way can the people of China gradually develop a strong sense of commodities, make money reasonably, work for everyone, regardless of job type, etc., adapt to the market economy, combine ideals with reality, start from me, start from now, love their jobs, and show their talents in their daily work. China market economy calls for new economic ethics. "Getting rich legally" should be the core of our new economic ethics.
The principle of justice has a long history in the west. Western thinkers attach great importance to justice and believe that the government has the obligation to play the role of "justice messenger". Under the condition of developing socialist market economy in China, China has basically got rid of the egalitarian shadow that has plagued people for a long time. However, in the face of unfair phenomena such as defection of officials, official business, departmental monopoly and upside down, people have repeatedly strongly appealed to the government to create a level playing field. The principle of justice has become the focus of China people's attention. Therefore, it is very necessary and beneficial to absorb the principles of justice and fairness in western culture. The normal operation of market economy must follow the principle of fairness. It is not only a standard to judge whether the market economy can exist, but also an indispensable link to safeguard market interests morally. Secondly, under the market mechanism, implementing the principle of justice will also help to improve people's enthusiasm and production efficiency and promote social stability. The principle of justice not only ensures that producers get what they deserve, but also rejects the corruption of officials, and corresponds personal income with its actual contribution to society, so as to reward diligence, punish laziness and end the "big pot". In addition, the idea of giving preferential treatment to the weak embodied in the principle of justice has certain positive significance for narrowing the polarization between the rich and the poor that has become crucial at present. Justice is a good medicine to treat "pink eye".
