Yanting County, located in the southeast of Mianyang City, is a part of ancient Shu, where the ancient Shu saltworks are located, and the hometown of Yuan Fei, the first wife of the Yellow Emperor. It was called "chanting" and "Qin Ting" in ancient times, and it was named Yanting because there were many salt wells and rich brine production in China.
