Songjiang’s location on Nantong map

Nantong, a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province, is located in the southeast of Jiangsu and on the north wing of the Yangtze River Delta. It is referred to as "Tong" and is also known as Jinghai, Chongzhou, Chongchuan, Zilang, and Beizhou. It was called Tongzhou in ancient times. One of the first 14 coastal cities in China to open to the outside world, it reaches the Yellow Sea in the east, the Yangtze River in the south, and the lights of Shanghai and Suzhou. It borders Taizhou and Yancheng in the west and north. "According to the meeting of the river and the sea, it strangles the throat of the north and the south?" , known as "North Shanghai". Nantong combines the advantages of "golden coast" and "golden waterway", with 226 kilometers of Yangtze River coastline.

Songjiang District is located in the southwest of Shanghai. It has a long history and culture and is known as the "Root of Shanghai". The upper reaches of the Huangpu River borders Minhang District and Fengxian District to the east, Jinshan District to the south and southwest, and Qingpu District to the west and north. The district is approximately 24 kilometers long from north to south and 25 kilometers wide from east to west. The total area is 605.64 square kilometers.
