Introduction to Fangshan Tourist Area

Fangshan Tourist Area is located 6 kilometers north of Dingtao County and is a national AA-level scenic spot. Fangshan is the tomb site of the king of Cao State in the Western Zhou Dynasty and is a key cultural relic protection unit in Shandong Province. In 1046 BC, King Wu destroyed the Shang Dynasty and divided the world. He named his younger brother Zhenduo to Cao Cao and established the Cao Kingdom with its capital in Taoqiu. After the death of Cao Cao in 487 BC, Cao people missed their homeland and built Cao Bo Temple in Fangshan to offer sacrifices. The Cao Bo Temple has been destroyed and rebuilt many times, and continues continuously. After the Tang and Song Dynasties, temples and Taoist temples were built one after another in imitation of mountains. It reached its peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with more than 40 temples, forming a large-scale landscape temple garden.
