Nvshan Lake

Nvshan Lake, a transit lake of Chihe, a tributary of the Huaihe River, is located on the right bank of the Huaihe River, Mingguang Eight kilometers north of Mingguang Town, it is the largest lake in Mingguang City and one of the famous lakes in Anhui Province. The lake area is 80 square kilometers (some say 74 square kilometers [1]?), and the lake water surface is 150,000 acres. The lake bottom elevation is 11.0 meters and the average water depth is 2.7 meters. After the Nushan Lake Control Gate was completed in 1983, the lake water reached reasonable control. When the normal water storage level was 14.5 meters, the corresponding water storage capacity was 216 million cubic meters. It is an important base for aquatic products in Mingguang and Wandong areas.
